A short section of the D22 road, through the Gorges du Nan, with a length of 5.5 miles only, links the towns of Malleval-en-Vercors and Cognin-les-Gorges. This road is located in Vercors national park (Rhone-Alpes), south of Grenoble (France).

[EN] The Verdon Gorge in south France (Provence) is the deepest and one of most beautiful river canyons in Europe. It is often considered to be one of Europe's most beautiful. It's length is about 25 kilometres and it is up to 700 metres deep. Paths include the Blanc-Martel trail, ending at Point Sublime lookout. It is very popular area for rock climbing. The canyon is ended by the Lake of Sainte-Croix (Lac de Sainte-Croix) with a beautiful green-blue water. (Wikipedia)
[FR] Les Gorges du Verdon (sud de la France, Provence) - plus profond et l'un des plus beaux canyons d'Europe. Sa longueur est d'environ 25 km et il est jusqu'à 700 mètres de profondeur. Il est la zone très populaire pour l'escalade. Le canyon est terminée par le Lac de Sainte-Croix avec une belle eau bleu-vert.

Driving the Gorges du Nan, France
The Gorges du Nan is a spectacular road in the Vercors Regional Natural Park in France. The road, numbered D22, connects the towns Cognin-les-Gorges and Malleval-en-Vercors. The highlight of the road at 4:40 gives us stunning views whilst driving along a very balcony narrow road. Breathtaking!

Clue d'Aiglun, Balcony Road D10, Maritime Alps, France - by motorcycle and drone
The balcony road D10 connects for about 4 km the villages of Les Tardons / Le Mas to the west and Aiglun to the east. Coming from Aiglun, the first 2 km are the most interesting. First, the road descends in switchbacks into the gorge of the Estéron River, then north on a narrow road cut into the steep rock. Here, the gorge is then crossed on a 300-meter-high stone bridge before continuing west in an unlit tunnel. On the described steep section and in the tunnel it is better not to have oncoming traffic, otherwise the road is easy to drive and offer a beautiful view of the gorge. The gorge is located in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and there in the department Alpes-Maritimes / Maritime Alps.
This route belongs to the so-called French Balcony Roads.

South of France, Lac Du Verdon
WE are back! What an amazing week we both have had exploring Nice and Lac Du Verdon. We flew early into Nice where we explored the old town of Nice and getting into the French culture. From there we drove to a little town called Aups where we was staying in a B&B for a week hosted by an guy called Luc who was so accommodating and made our stay a dream. We relaxed by the pool some days and visited small sleepy towns where we dug into lots of cheese and sometimes drank far too much wine. We also got to bike around the Gorges du Verdon with breathtaking views all around the kayaked down the lake taking in more beautiful views. Our week flew by and we loved every min. Hope you enjoy our footage.

Au cœur de l'Isère, en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, se dissimule le charmant petit village de La Sône.
La Sône est une commune française située dans le département de l'Isère en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Autrefois, simple paroisse de la province royale du Dauphiné, la petite commune a adhéré à la communauté de communes de Saint-Marcellin Vercors Isère Communauté
La partie occidentale du territoire de l'Isère dans laquelle se situe le village de La Sône est formée d'une grande plaine (la vallée de l'Isère) à l'ambiance tempérée, de bas plateaux et de collines assez peu élevées au climat un peu plus rude. Du fait du relief peu accentué, les masses d'air venues du nord et du sud circulent assez aisément.
Le Château de la Sône est un ancien château-fort entouré de douves, il domine depuis son socle rocheux le vallée de l'Isère. Les parties les plus anciennes sont du xiie siècle et le donjon du xve siècle

Gorges du Nan, Balcony Road D22, Vercors, France - by motorcycle and drone
On the north side of the Gorges du Nan, the balcony road D22 connects the towns of Cognin les Gorges and Malleval-en-Vercors. The route is about 10 km long and has an altitude difference of about 650 meters. The gorges are located in the department Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes / Isère and there in the massif of Vercors. The old road to Malleval-en-Vercors passes through the bottom of the gorge, but was severely endangered there by rock falls, floods and landslides. So both municipalities decided to rebuild the road, with parts of the route being blasted out of the rock much further up. This new road was completed around 1880 and is today a driving and scenic attraction for every motorcyclist.
This route belongs to the so-called French Balcony Roads.

We’re back. Sorry for the long gap between videos. Covid and non-travelling projects got in the way. We have a skiing break planned in Flims-Laax-Falera but in the meantime, here’s one I’ve been sitting on since August! Our summer road trip from northern Switzerland to southern Spain. 4000km round trip in our Hymer motorhome. We picked the kids up in Barcelona - the only country UK-Covid rules would let them visit at the time!

Sur la D.22 depuis Malleval jusqu'à Cognin-les-Gorges.Un morceaux de route absolument génial .
Tout y est beau : le paysage , la route elle-même ,la végétation , le ciel , les rochers.

Le Road Trip de la Halle Quatre : Etape 3 la ferme ELIZALDIA
Jean-Baptiste est spécialisé dans l’élevage de cochons depuis 1983 dans sa ferme Elizaldia près de Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Il utilise une alimentation saine et équilibrée, dans ses parcs recouverts de paille, de dimensions modérées. Il transforme dans son propre atelier agrée aux normes européennes la viande de son élevage : jambon de Bayonne IGP affiné 14 mois et régulièrement médaillé, son chorizo, le saucisson au piment d’Espelette, lomo, boudins, que l’on retrouvent à la carte du restaurant Halle Quatre.

Et sinon pourquoi l'équipe a fait ce road trip ?
L'équipe de la Halle Quatre a élaboré la carte de son bar, de son restaurant et de son coffee shop avec un marqueur majeur : les produits faits par les producteurs de l'Ouest de la France, desservi par la gare Montparnasse à deux pas.
C'est alors leur marinière sur le dos qu'ils se sont embarqués dans un road trip à la rencontre des producteurs avec qui ils travaillent aujourd'hui. Le road trip a été fort en émotion, équipe et producteurs ont échangé sur leur vision de concevoir la restauration et leurs voix étaient unanimes : des méthodes traditionnelles, innovantes et respectueuses de l'environnement sont essentielles. Ainsi, le circuit-court est privilégié à la Halle Quatre.
