Cognac Distillery Tour In Cognac France ????????

COGNAC FRANCE - Today, I have stopped in the French port of La Rochelle. We visit the pretty little town of Saintes in France for a walking tour. This is a typical little French town but of course I have my eyes on the food. I stop for a French breakfast at a local boulangerie which makes artisan bread. I eat a delicious croissant and try a French baguette. After visiting Saintes we head to Cognac for a a tour at a distillery to learn how the famous French brandy, Cognac is made.

If you want to look at the cruise itinerary I was on or any other cruise by Princess Cruises then visit their website here:

One day in Cognac and Angouleme in France

Next stops on our summer trip in France were Cognac and Angouleme. Travelling during the pandemic was a bit of a challenge at times, and sometimes we had to make changes to our original schedule, including, for example, missing the birthplace of Francois 1 in Cognac, or the comics museum in Angouleme.

But we still tried to make the most of the time and absolutely loved both cities. They are very different - but both are worth stopping by when you are in the area!

Travel France: Cognac

A visit to Cognac in France. Alas, it was winter time, and all the cognac museums were closed. Nonetheless, the town has some pleasant historic streets and a big park. Apparently, it is very crowded in the summer time. In February, it was like a ghost town!
