StarHub Review ???????? - The BEST SIM Card in Singapore? (Speedtest)

Going to Singapore and are in need of a Singaporean SIM Card or are you already living in Singapore and looking for a new operator? Consider StarHub, they may have the BEST SIM card in Singapore. Why? Let's find out.

Singapore has 3 telecom providers: Singtel, StarHub, and M1. All of these operators have good coverage throughout the country because Singapore is not that large.

StarHub is the second-largest operator, with a little more than 2 million subscribers.

Most travelers may want to take advantage of the StarHub Travel SIM Card that comes with 100 GB for ONLY 12 SGD (8.50 USD/7.80 EUR/6.80 GBP, 13.15 AUD/15 NZD), which is crazy cheap!

In addition to so much local data, you also get other perks like international minutes, roaming data, local calls & SMS, and much more.

If you are not in need of the StarHub Travel SIM Card because you want a SIM card to last you more than 2 weeks or you are a resident of Singapore, then the StarHub Prepaid SIM card, starting from 8 SGD, would be a better option.

StarHub has a lot of data packages starting from as little as 3 SGD.

EVA AIR LAX Terminal B to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Arrivals Economy Class Boeing 777

For departure date, travelers need to check in at EVA AIR counter at Section C ticketing level of The Tom Bradley International Terminal Los Angeles Airport. EVA AIR will start checking in travelers’ passports and luggage before 4 hours of boarding time. Travelers will be surprised by the long and busy lines in front of EVA AIR counter.
EVA Air, aka Evergreen Airways, is a largely privately owned Taiwanese international airline, operating passenger and cargo services to over 40 international destinations in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. EVA Air is a good choice of transferring flight to many southeast Asian countries without direct flight to LA like: Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, since EVA Air has daily or frequent flights from Taiwan to these countries.
It takes 13 hours 33 minutes direct flight to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. EVA AIR Economy Class will provide two meals: Dinner will be served around one hour after taking off and breakfast will be served after passing Tokyo Japan. Snacks can be served or ask flight attender for additional between meals. Taiwan is 16 hours ahead of Los Angeles. During day light saving time period, Taiwan is 15 hours ahead of Los Angeles. Travelers can use USB charger near entertainment screen. EVA touch screen entertainment system not only provide many movies, games and music, travelers can also check the meal menu, watch flight security information and view the custom and immigration regulations videos about Taiwan. Be familiar with the new covid policy of Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, aka Taiwan CDC. Taiwan currency exchange is under strict regulation. Be aware that Travelers are not allowed to use US dollars in Taiwan. There is one time 3000 US dollars equal amount limitation for foreigners to make currency exchange. Please keep your receipts, you can change back to US dollars at ticketing level before departure.
After arriving at Taoyuan International Airport, for those need to transfer flights, EVA employees will direct passengers to different exits first. For passengers enter Taiwan, travelers will need to get Covid free test kits and information regarding Taiwan Policies first. Then passengers have to pass Taiwan CDC temperature monitor counter. Next Travelers can do the currency exchange before Immigration when arriving. After Immigration, travelers will pick up their check in luggage. Then, pass the customs counter by following regulations. After customs counter, travelers will find the transportation information at arrival hall.
If you use T-Mobile phone service at LA, you can apply for Taiwan phone service in USA. The most convenient and best deal is to buy local Pre-paid Sim Card at arrival hall. Chunghwa Telecom is the biggest Telecom at Taiwan with English websites. The customer service here is good and helpful. Although airport and hotels with free WIFI, Travelers still need local WIFI for using the Line App to make free calls to LA, checking store address and travel information when ㄕㄛˉoutside hotels. You will find everything in English on line. If you have an emergency, call 110 for police protection and call 119 for ambulance.
Taoyuan Airport MRT and Easy Card System
Taoyuan International Airport is far from Taipei. Easy and fast way from airport to Taipei Main Station is taking Taoyuan Airport MRT at airport level B2 for only 40 minutes. My suggestion is buying an Easy Card and deposit $1000. Travelers can get back the balance with $100 card fee from any Taipei Metro station office when no need to use easy card. Travelers can use an Easy Card for riding Taoyuan Airport MRT, Taipei Metro, and Taipei Bus. Travelers also can use an Easy Card to make payment at all convenience stores. Taoyuan Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station ticket price is $160. Using Easy Card always get discount. There are English instructions Websites for all systems. The number of Taiwan convenience stores is world number two after Japan. The top four chains are 7-Eleven, Family Mart, Hi-Life and OK. There is one Hi-Life store right next to Taoyuan Airport MRT entrance.
