Bang Saen Beach is in , Chonburi provenance . It is about 108 km east of Bangkok. Regarded as a very popular beach because it is closest to Bangkok and not far from Pattaya, a world-class attraction as well.

Leam Thaen is a resting point, a viewpoint, another place to sit and enjoy the sea breeze in Bang Saen, and it is close to Bangsaen beach. At night, people usually bring something to eat and sit on their mat in this area, and some play guitar. Because there is a good atmosphere with little sunlight and sea breeze.

Samae Sarn Island is a real hidden gem in Chonburi province and in the Gulf of Thailand. From Pattaya, you have to drive further for about 40 minutes until you reach the maritime museum. You have to get prepared as the boat to the island is only available every hour from 9:00-13:00 (5 times a day – at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm) and on the way back from 13:30-16:00 only. From this Khao Ma Jor pier, it takes only 15 mins to the island. Alternatively, you can take a train from Bangkok and go off at “Baan Plu Ta Luang” station, catch ‘Song Taew” to Khao Ma Jor pier.
Located in Sattahip district, Suan Nong Nooch or Nong Nooch Garden was opened back in 1980. The owner was first inspired by visits to several botanic gardens around the world. This place never fails to amaze me as it houses millions of tropical plants and flowers, but not only that, they are also resorts, cafes, restaurants, and exhibition halls inside this vast area of over 600 acres. They also planted trees for sale as well.
If you have limited time, there are some highlights that I would like to recommend to you - Garden in the sky, Cactus Garden Park, and Dinosaurs Valley
The Cactus Garden Park has numerous species of cacti in different sizes and shapes. The park is always popular with visitors.
Dinosaurs Valley is a landmark of Nong Nooch Garden. The idea began in 2016 when the owner informed his team to mold the dinosaurs inside the garden. There are several hundred types of dinosaurs nowadays. Visitors can explore the Dinosaurs Valley easily by sky walk which links to the Thai Pavilion, cactus terrace, and stone forest. Sightseeing bus is also available.
Bang Saray Community in Sattahip district is located near Royal Thai Navy Base. This area has long history dated back to the reign of King Rama V when Royal Thai Navy was founded. You will find the statue of Prince of Chumphon or กรมหลวงชุมพรเขตอุดมศักดิ์ on the street of Bang Saray Beach in which you can see a panoramic view of Pattaya too.
This little fishing village is more open to visitors nowadays. If you love exploring local life, this is the place for you. You can stay with the locals, eat with the locals, ride local tricycle, or learn local arts.
Crab bank is an initiative that helps increase the number of crabs and boosts farmers' income. According to a research, each blue swimmer crab naturally contains about 700,000 eggs. Local people will get about 20 crabs per day and will restore the eggs to be released back into the sea. Normally, fewer than 1% of baby crabs survive.
Thai Paper Cutting called Puang Mahod, a local decorative item is used in traditional Buddhist ordination ceremony and wedding ceremony.

Welcome to Koh Si Chang. This island is probably the nearest island to Bangkok, Thailand's capital city. Apart from beautiful nature, there are so many stories about Thai history to learn from this place. It is also the only island where a royal palace is located. Let's enjoy this one-day excursion to the island of rich heritage with me.
Si Chang is 45 mins by boat from Koh Loy, a pier in Sri Racha district of Chonburi. It is a popular one-day trip for locals and the boat ticket is 50 THB one-way. When you reach the island, it is recommended that you rent a tricycle as known as a Skylab for 250 THB to tour around the island.
Thai people usually go to Chao Por Khao Yai Shrine to pay respect to the footprint of Lord Buddha and to enjoy the top view of the island. This religious place is believed to be discovered during Ming Dynasty by Chinese sailors. It still attracts thousands of Chinese pilgrims from Thailand and across Asia. You can walk up there or take a short tram ride which is a great experience. There are panoramic views from the shrine across the island and the sea towards the mainland.
Imagine you are in the 1800s, how would you travel from Bangkok to a little island in the middle of the ocean? The King of Siam took a steamship from Bangkok in early morning, sailed in the Gulf of Thailand, and reached this beautiful island in the late afternoon. Known by Dutch East India company since that period, Si Chang is the first island that the King of Siam visited. That King was King Rama IV or King Mongkut who reigned the country in the same era as Queen Victoria of England, and President Abraham Lincoln of the United States. H.M.’s son, Prince Chulalongkorn later became King Rama V or King Chulalongkorn and paid a royal patronage to the local communities of Si Chang island.
The highlight of the island is this must-visit place – Phra Chudadhuj Ratchathan or Phra Chudadhuj Palace. Named after Prince Chudadhuj Dharadilok, King Chulalongkorn’s son who was born on this island in 1892, this palace was built as a summer retreat for the King. It is believed that the great climate of Si Chang island could help people recover from illness. Therefore, King Chulalongkorn and royal family members came to stay here many times. The whole area has mansions, halls, a pavilion, ponds, walkways, and a private beach.
The most picturesque spot must be “Asdang Bridge”, known as “The Bridge of Love”, which was built to celebrate the recovery from illness of Prince Asdang Dejavudh, King Chulalongkorn’s son. Local people love to take photos of this bridge and around.
The colonial-style green building at beachfront was built under the reign of King Rama IV. Now, it contains exhibition halls and a nice café.
The main royal residence, Phratinang Munthat Rattanaroj, was aimed to be a 3-story teakwood mansion located next to the green building. Due to French and Siam conflict in 1893, parts of the unfinished halls were removed and reassembled in Bangkok. The new place is named “Vimanmek Mansion” as known as the world’s largest golden teakwood mansion.
Next, we are heading to “Chong Khao Khad” or “Chong Isariyaporn”, a public park with pavilions and an elevated promenade offering splendid views of the cliffs and the sea. The landscape is quite unique and it is a popular spot to watch sunset.
We then stop by, I think, the most beautiful beach on the island “Haad Thum Pung”, this is a lesser-known beach by international travelers. We can chill out by the beach with some food and drinks. You can enjoy swimming in the pristine seawater as well.
You have to plan well to catch the boat back to Koh Loy in Chonburi. The last boat leaves the island at 7pm. Well, hope you enjoyed the trip around this historic island. Si Chang people are waiting to welcome you!
