Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!

Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre Walking Tour in Brisbane, Australia (4K 60fps)
Westfield Chermside is a regional shopping centre located in the Brisbane northern suburb of Chermside. It is the second largest regional shopping centre in Australia by number of stores. Westfield Chermside is home to some of Australia’s most well-known business partners including David Jones, Myer, BIG W, Kmart, Target, Coles, Woolworths and Apple. The centre also boasts an Event Cinemas complex and approximately 450 specialty stores. A leisure and dining precinct set in a resort-style landscape features a selection of boutique cafés and alfresco restaurants and has quickly become one of the city’s most attractive dining destinations.

Chermside Hills Reserve, Brisbane, Queensland
The Chermside Hills Reserve is a network of bushwalking tracks about 12 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. It's an open eucalypt forest with a lot of native plant species including grass trees, banksias, stringybarks, bloodwoods and spotted gums. This was a peaceful walk very close to the city. UNITA - Westfield Chermside Grand Opening
On Thursday 22nd of June Westfield Chermside hosted the grand opening of their $355 million redevelopment which is now home to over 30 new restaurants and 50 retail stores. The new resort-style centre which is now the largest shopping centre in Australia, is a direct reflection of the dedicated team at Scentre Group who were the driving force behind the redevelopment.
It was a particularly exciting day for Unita who delivered a staggering eleven projects as part of the centre’s expansion with another two which are opening mid-July. Partnering closely with Scentre Group and a number of local and international design studios, Unita successfully delivered Zara, Hermosa, The Bavarian, Motto Motto, Universal Store, Total Fusion, Swarovski, Nextra, Camerahouse, Fixed Furniture and the H&M BOH. Additionally, major telco company Optus and global retailer Furla will soon be joining the list of residents in mid-July as a part of Unita’s national roll-out with the two brands.

Westfield Carousel is an Australian shopping centre in the Perth suburb of Cannington. It is located approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Perth's central business district on the Albany Highway and approximately 600 metres (2,000 ft) from Cannington railway station.
Following a redevelopment in 2018, Westfield Carousel became the largest shopping centre in Western Australia.

The Cleveland Lighthouse was built in 1865, replacing an earlier beacon which was built in 1847.
It was erected to support Cleveland's busy sea-port during the middle of last century.⚓
It is noted as unusual because of its hexagonal shape, rather than the typical round shape and that it's timber framed and clad with weather board rather than metal cladding.⛵
The light’s second keeper, James Troy 1877-1927, holds the Australian record for being the longest serving lightkeeper at one lighthouse.✨
