Visit to Ville de Versailles in Paris in France
This is an additional condensed slideshow clip to my earlier video of my trip to Paris in France which I showcase additional and more photos that I have taken at key attractions I have visited that I didn't do video recordings. Key reasons why video recordings were not done were due to videography restrictions, lack of time (as some attractions were only photo stops) and also low battery as the powerbanks I brought along were malfunctioning. Nevertheless, I did what I could.
Paris, the capital city of France, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. It's 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, Louvre Museum and Pont des Arts (lover lock bridge) etc, just to name a few, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore. No doubt Paris is probably the most romantic city in the world!
In this leg of my trip, I have visited Ville de Versailles, a city in the department of the Yvelines, Île-de-France, renowned worldwide for the Château de Versailles and the gardens of Versailles, designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
And I enjoyed exploring the small lanes of the town, coming into many shops and churches, and open-air flower market before returning to the city center.

Is this the biggest brocante fair in France? It happens TWICE a year. ???? Here’s a preview!
I got early access to the « Foire du Chatou » (Ham Fair ????), and I seriously couldn’t get the goofy grin off my face. Imagine over 300 exhibitors with an impossible amount of gorgeous antiques, collectibles, artwork, and more until big white tents are set alongside the river with food vendors from all over France.
I first went to this enormous antiques fair about eight years ago. And this year? The fair is celebrating its 104th year!
It happens two times per year. Here are all the details:

Price: 10€ (tickets sold on-site only)
Getting there:
It’s an easy direct metro ride on RER A from the Paris Châtelet to the Chatou Croissy station. From there, it’s an easy, flat 10-minute walk, or you can take the shuttle. If you take a taxi, tell them to take you to Ile des Impressionists at Chatou.
PLUS, specialized carriers are available to ship your purchases in France and abroad.
The Foire du Chatou was created in the Middle Ages, probably even before, because France has an old « charcuterie » tradition.
Until the 19th century, pork was the staple food for Christmas Eve: it was the feast’s king among peasants, bourgeois, and nobles.
During the Middle Ages, butchers from all provinces came to Paris during Holy Week to sell their prepared meats. They settled where there were the most customers, around Notre-Dame, certain of having those who attended services as loyal customers.

年に二回行われるシャトゥー蚤の市動画前半です。後半は来週の週末に配信予定なので、購入した商品の紹介などを致します♪
この動画の後半は文化施設が無料になる、９月の文化遺産の日に訪れたエリゼ宮（大統領官邸）とブルスドゥコメルスというモダンアートの美術館です。
エリゼ宮見学は非常に人気があるので、予約チケットは争奪戦です。予約開始数分ですべて埋まってしまいます。

見学の予約開始は６月くらいから頻繁にチェックすることをお勧めします。でも今年の予約開始は９月に入ってからでした。（文化遺産の日は９月）

パリ西郊外にあるシャトゥーの蚤の市の動画です。
年に2回、春と秋に行われる大きな蚤の市。今年の秋は９月２３日～10月２日開催です。
本当はもっとアンティーク皿を買いたかったのですが、今回はは少し高額だったので一枚だけ購入しました。
でも、アンティークではないですが、ずっと探していたアスパラガス用の器が見つかったのは大きな収穫でした。
