La Vallée de la Loire regorge de jardins et châteaux plus impressionnants les uns que les autres! Il y en a au total plus de 103 dans toute la région.
Nous avons donc dû faire une sélection et notre choix s'est arrêté sur les 4 qui ont le plus attiré notre attention.
Premièrement, on a visité le château de Chambord et on a terminé notre journée au Clos Lucée. Pour notre deuxième journée de visite, on a opté pour le Chaumont et on a terminé notre roadtrip dans la vallée avec le sublime Chenonceau!

Discover with us interesting facts about Château de Chambord. Located less than 180 km from Paris, it is one of the most recognizable chateaux in the world. In this symbol of the French Renaissance, you can find 440 rooms, 365 fireplaces, and 83 staircases. It was commissioned by King Francis I and it is believed that great Leonardo Da Vinci may also have been involved in its design. As a tourist you can visit 60 rooms of the chateau and thus discover its mysteries. The highlight of your visit is a renowned double-helix staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci. Because it has two spirals, more people can use the staircase at the same time without running into one another. Visit also its splendid French gardens. The Chateau de Chambord park is the largest enclosed park in Europe.

Château Gaillard est un domaine royal de 15 hectares, le paradis oublié de Charles VIII en plein coeur de la ville d'Amboise. En 1496, à son retour d'Italie, le jeune roi Charles VIII décide de recréer toutes les merveilles italiennes découvertes lors de son séjour. Il convainc 22 artistes italiens de le suivre jusqu'à Amboise pour créer un paradis terrestre. Le moine napolitain Dom Pacello, le plus célèbre jardinier en 1500, fait partie du voyage. C'est lui qui invente les premiers jardins de la Renaissance française à Château Gaillard. Il y acclimate également les premiers orangers de France ! Après 5 ans de restaurations pharaoniques par 50 artisans et 300 ouvriers du Val de Loire, le domaine a ouvert au public en 2016.

Clisson is a commune in the west of France, located in the Loire-Atlantique department, in the Pays de la Loire region.
Clisson was part of the Duchy of Brittany, and was the keystone of the defense of the Marches of Brittany against Poitou and Anjou with its castle. The city is also known as Clisson the Italian because of its Italianate style architecture inspired by rural models of central Italy: Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany and the landscape aspect of the city, recomposed by a great artist of the 19th century Francois-Frederic Lemot.
Clisson is located between Nantes, Cholet and La Roche-sur-Yon, on the border of Maine-et-Loire and Vendée. The town had 7,435 inhabitants in 2019. It is at the center of an urban unit (or agglomeration) also comprising three neighboring towns and totaling 18,138 inhabitants in 2014.
Located on the southeastern edge of the Nantes Vineyard Country, Clisson is in the Nantes Sevre Valley, 25 km south-east of Nantes, 15 km north of Montaigu and 35 km west of Cholet.
Clisson has hosted Hellfest since 2006, one of the biggest metal music festivals in Europe. It is the annual rendezvous of around 180,000 people over three days in June.
It is now one of the biggest events of its kind in Europe and attracts more than 65 different nationalities

I've FALLen in Love! A drive in FRANCE'S PÉRIGORD/DORDOGNE REGION | ROAD TRIP | Périgeux stopover 4K
We travel in October through the region of Dordogne, France where the fall leaves are in bloom and the air is crisp. Dordogne also referred to as Perigord is one of the most beautiful regions in France. It is known for its natural beauty and rich heritage.
I love driving through french towns and villages where time seemed to have stood still. It's amazing how beautifully preserved they are! We'll take a short walk in the medieval town of Périgeux, considered the capital of Dordogne, and take a peek at its impressive Cathedral Saint-Front. It is located in the White Perigord.

So Who are Campervan Journey?
We are JT, Harry, Claire, Sam and Ben, oh and Hunny the Dog. We discovered campervanning in 2015 when we bought our first Volkswagen T5 Combo after seeing many at our favourite campsites. We were staying in our tent, and dreaming that one day we would have our own Campervan. After much research, we bought and converted our own Volkswagen T5 Kombi to suit our requirements, check out the video on the channel. We soon discovered that owning a Campervan is a way of life and it is not just about amazing trips round Europe, it’s as much about great days out and family time…
We have been lucky enough to visit some amazing places with our van, many of which we know we wouldn’t have seen if we had not owned it. They instil a sense of adventure and where shall we go into your life.
After 3 years with the T5, we upgraded to a Volkswagen T6 California Beach, our current van, and we continue to enjoy travelling and visiting some amazing places. You can check out our latest videos and adventures here on the channel !

FRANCE CAMPERVAN TOUR The End | Chateau du Gandspette | Saint Omer | Blockhaus | Dunkirk | Vlog 585
We come to the end of our 2023 France Tour with four nights at a beautiful campsite Camping Chateau du Gandspette. We visit the campercar aire at Saint Omer and walk around the Cathedral before taking the dogs for their veterinary visit for Pet Health Certificate paperwork for re-entry to the UK. We make a stop at the Eperlecques Blockhaus Museum where we look around the concrete buildings intended to create the V2 Rockets in World War 2. Our final day out was at the beaches of Dunkirk where we park on the campercar aire and walk the beaches before visiting the museum. Thank yo to everyoe for your support on this tour.
