???????? MAJESTIC MAPIMÍ, Durango | MEXICO'S Ultimate MAGICAL Town | CERRO de la India | Mexico Travel

???????? MAPIMÍ, DURANGO - It’s time to revisit the GOD MODE state of Durango, Mexico for Part 28 of my 2022 Mexico Travel Series, this time coming to you from the MAJESTIC Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Mapimí!

I stayed in Durango for around 6 weeks in 2021, during which time I visited Puente de Ojuela which is actually closer to the cities of Gómez Palacio and Torreón (the latter in the state of Coahuila). Unfortunately, I was sick at the time and didn’t have the opportunity to visit Mapimí… a difficult to reach location in Northern Mexico. It was always my plan to have the Mapimí video as the final NORMEX video of 2022 before heading back to Mexico City!

As well as eating Gorditas de Discada (one of the awesome examples of Mexican food or Comida Mexicana in Durango, visiting the local church and exploring around town, we also head to Cerro de la India (India Hill - or high hill/stone/mountain in an indigenous language) and visit an abandoned church! In the area, you can also visit Zona del Silencio, Grutas del Rosario and other sights. The area very much reminded me of Nombre de Dios or Real de Catorce!

If you’re thinking of becoming expats in Mexico or moving to Mexico, you don’t have to move to San Miguel de Allende or Guanajuato or listen to the outdated ‘is Mexico safe’ rhetoric. Somewhere like Torreón or Durango may not be traditionally ‘pretty’, but it still has a tremendous amount to offer!

Grutas de Tolantongo MEXICO! | Worth it? | Mexico City Day Trip Guide | Hidalgo, MX Travel Vlog 2022

Travel Vlog #102 | Grutas de Tolantongo, Mexico (Hidalgo, Mexico)

***Book a guided group tour here!*** -
***If you want a private tour, book here*** -

Today we are back in Mexico City and heading on a day trip! We set out early in the morning to head to a still somewhat hidden area - Grutas de Tolantongo in Hidalgo! These are hot baths naturally heated from the earth by a nearby (dormant) volcano. The area has been built up with pools, restaurants, and hotels, and this is the perfect Mexico City day trip!
We started out by seeing the sunrise and visiting a breakfast stop on the side of the road. We had some delicious quesadillas with chicken and mole!.
Our guide was one of the best parts of this day trip to Tolantongo hot springs, and he knew all of the best spots. Our first special stop was a scenic viewpoint to appreciate the mountains of Hidalgo. After our car (and ourselves) were sanitized, we were in!
From there, we first visited a tunnel with water coming out of every crevice. It was warm and felt amazing since it was cooler outside! Mexico is known in tourism as being a warm weather destination, but this area of Mexico is quite cool out, since it's in the mountains at a higher elevation. Coming out of the warm tunnel into the cold air was quite a shock!
After a freezing (but fun) walk across a suspension bridge, we finally headed to the hot spring pools! There are so many different pools and levels, you could spend hours exploring the whole area, but sadly we didn't have that much time. We chose first to visit a pool with a direct view of the mountains, which was beautiful, and then we headed to a higher pool. The higher the pool, the warmer the water. We sat up at the top for a while and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL scenery.
After we were done at the pools we headed to the tunnels and cave! The way the entrance to the cave looks is one of the most unique things we've ever seen. The cave and tunnel have some of the warmest water since they're the highest up! For lunch, we visited the onsite restaurant. They had traditional Mexican dishes and everything was delicious. To end our time at Grutas de Tolantongo, we headed to the river as our last stop. Our gopro died shortly after getting in the water, but we recommend the river for sure!

Pozas Azules: AMAZING Natural Pools in Guerrero, Mexico! | Mexico Travel Vlog

The Pozas Azules, located about 45 minutes from Taxco, are a group of natural pools and waterfalls hidden in the mountainside. I spent a refreshing day here while visiting Taxco and loved the crystal clear waters (although they are QUITE chilly!) Getting there was super easy by collectivo/combi and cost next to nothing. Entrance for the day was 100 pesos, or around 5 dollars.

You can take day trips from Mexico City to Taxco, but I would really recommend spending 2-3 days there because it's such a beautiful city with so much to do! But if you only have a short time in CDMX, you could check out some of these tours by Get Your Guide:

This was my second day in Taxco, so if you missed my first Taxco video, be sure to check it out here:

TEQUILA, JALISCO | Day Trip Guide | Tequila Tours | La Alborada | Fortaleza

We are both major Tequila fans, we might even go as far as saying it’s our favorite liquor!  Serve us up a margarita loaded with some tequila and we are in heaven. So of course when in Guadalajara we couldn’t miss the opportunity to go straight to the source. We visited Tequila, Jalisco the birthplace of Tequila and will rave about it for a while.

We’ve been on tequila tours before in Cancun and Mazatlan, but we were able to experience more than just a tasting here. We give a rough guide to follow, from how to get there to where to go, how much it costs and what to expect. Feel free to use this guide for your next trip to TEQUILA!

We eat breakfast overlooking the beautiful Church and then drink quite a bit of Tequila. There are two distilleries that we visit in today’s vlog and we would recommend them to all our friends and family! We had an amazing experience, but watch the vlog to see for yourself!

Have you been to Tequila before?

Do you even drink Tequila? Tell us your craziest memory of drinking Tequila in the comments, I’m sure this will be interesting!

If you’re going the bus route like we did, you can look up times and buy your tickets online here:

Cayo Sombrero Venezuela - The most incredible beach in Venezuela - best things to do and visit 2023

Venezuela is a country of beautiful landscapes and surprising sights, from the coast to the mountain tops. Magnificent waterfalls tumble off table top mountains, and coastal towns and offshore islands offer pleasant escapes and soft-sand beaches.

In this video we show you some of the Most beautiful beaches on Earth which are located in Venezuela's national park Morrocoy.

Morrocoy National Park, located along the coast about a 3 hour drive west of Caracas, is known for its white-sand beaches and coral reefs, which stretch along the mainland and ring the offshore islands and cays. Diving is one of the main activities for those who are looking for more than simply spending a day on the beach.

The park is also home to a large number of birds, from osprey and parrots to flamingos and scarlet ibis.

There are two main access points, one at Tucacas and the other at Chichiriviche, with boat services to the islands available at both of these towns.

In this video we show you:

- National Park Morrocoy
- How to get there.
- Prices
- Speedboat Journey
- Cayo Sombrero
- What to Eat
- Cayo Pescadores
- Cayo Los Juanes
- Cayo 360
- Tunnel of Love

Best Puerto Vallarta Hotels (starting at $34/night)!

Showing you my 4 favorite Puerto Vallarta hotels, several of which are perfect for those on a budget! One of the hotels was $34 per night! In my opinion each of these hotels are the best places to stay in the Zona Romantica and Centro areas of Puerto Vallarta.

For each hotel, I will give you a room tour, show you the amenities, talk about the location and let you know if there are any downsides to the hotel. Each is a small, boutique hotel, perfect for soaking up the authentic feel of PV.

These hotels are great alternatives to an all inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta if you're looking to try something new. Also great for solo travelers, budget-conscious and those on a honeymoon or couples vacation.

They all have pools, A/C and are centrally located - walking distance to the beach, malecon and restaurants and bars. Some of these hotels are adult only, feature rooftop infinity pools and serve a daily hot breakfast.

SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, MEXICO | 5 Things you MUST do in San Cristobal

San Cristobal de Las Casas is a beautiful mountain city in Chiapas with so many amazing things to do. In this video, we highlight the best things to do in San Cristobal de Las Casas so you can have a great trip of your own and use your time the best way possible.

One of the best things to do is to take a free walking tour of the city itself. Starting at Plaza de la Paz in front of the Cathedral, a tour guide will take you to some of the most notable colonial buildings, churches, and viewpoints. San Cristobal has so much rich history and culture, ranging from the founding of the city in the early 1500’s to the Spanish influence in architecture and the Zapatista movement in the mid-1990’s.

One of the other best things to do in San Cristobal de las Casas is hiking to the El Mirador viewpoint at Cerro Don Lauro. This is a true hidden gem activity so you won’t find many others hiking this trail. To get to the hike’s starting point, you can take a local taxi from San Cristobal’s city center. The taxi ride is only about 15 minutes and will drop you off at the end of the road “Prolongacion Insurgentes”. From there, you can walk up the short path for about 5 minutes until you see the hiking entrance sign. Then, just follow the arrows from there up the hill. The hike is gorgeous and leads to the best panoramic views over the city that you will find.

Visiting the local markets is also another top thing to do in San Cristobal de las Casas. Our top pick for souvenirs and jewelry was the artisan market called Mercado de la Caridad y Santo Domingo. And our favorite market for fresh food was the municipal market.

The runner up activity is visiting the nearby Iglesia de San Juan Chamula. This church holds a unique blend of Mayan and Catholic traditions and is something everyone should experience when visiting San Cristobal.

And the best thing to do in San Cristobal is taking a day trip to Sumidero Canyon. It takes a little over an hour to get to the boat launch at Chiapa de Corzo and you can find local tours offered from San Cristobal which include transportation to and from the canyon as well as a tour on the boat itself.

Other places you can visit near San Cristobal include El Chiflon, Palenque Ruins, Agua Azul and Misol-Ha. While you can do these as a day trip, we recommend visiting them as part of a longer road trip since the majority of your time is spent in the car if you do them in one day and then return to San Cristobal.

???????? ENGLISH Guy Visits CRUZ AZUL, Hidalgo | Mexico's Most BIZARRE Town? | Mexico TRAVEL 2020

???????? CRUZ AZUL, MEXICO - Welcome back to Part 4 of my 2020 Mexico series! This time, we head from Tula de Allende to Ciudad Cooperativa Cruz Azul. Is this Mexico? Visiting Cruz Azul was recommended to me by Valentin (who basically planned the Tula video); he went to high school there, and it appears that Cruz Azul could be Mexico's most bizarre town!

Cemento Cruz Azul is a cement company, well-known across Mexico, started by an English businessman called Henry Gibbon in 1881, in a similar fashion to how the English supported Mexico with reigniting it's mining industry around the same time. Cruz Azul is FULL of blue - the company logo, a blue cross on a red and white background, has the same colours as the UK flag!

Cruz Azul is also the origin story of the famous Mexican football team going by the same name!

It may be slightly odd, but the fact that everything in Cruz Azul is blue and centred around the cement company is truly bizarre! If you're planning a Mexico trip in 2020, or looking for things to do in Tula, a short few hours in Cruz Azul to learn about a piece of Mexico's industrial past, is essential!
