Puglia. A breathtakingly gorgeous region located at the heel of Italy’s boot, and by far, the most impressive and enchanting. Puglia holds her secrets quietly in her hands, concealing roughly 800 kilometers of Adriatic and Ionian coastlines. Amid spans of olive groves, fig trees, fresh seafood, farm-to-table freshness, and cheeses that could easily turn up noses toward the North, Puglia has me enchanted.
This Italian road trip from Rome to Puglia was met with wonderful times with Alex's college buddies, Edu and Albi, and their wonderful spouses, Silvana and Ele. The food, company, and sites have made this place magical.

Hi there,
It took quite some time. But here it is finally. There is still a lot to learn how to edit vlogs. But we're getting there :)
I treat myself to an inspiration trip Puglia (Italy) organized by Esther Jacobs after no traveling since januari 2020 due to Covid lockdown. A trip to celebrate life, to enjoy my holiday break while being inspired about life: How do I see myself in the next year? Which next steps do I need to take to come closer to my Purpose(s) of Life to live my life more in fulfilment?
INSPIRED TO INSPIRE YOU: I spent the first 5 days of my trip together with 4 amazing women I've never met before (yes, getting out of my comfort zone) + 2 extra days to enjoy and discover my time in Puglia a bit longer because I somehow knew that I would enjoy this place. And yes, I loved it. The surroundings, the typical Italian buildings, the friendly local people, the nature, the olives trees, the simple yet delicious Italian food and more.

Best of Ceglie Messapica
Puglia without tourists - Antike Stadt im Hohen Salento, vor allem bekannt für seine hervorragende Küche. Die Altstadt stammt aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, die Schönheit der hügeligen Landschaft, wo wir Trulli, Farmen, Steinmauern, die zahlreichen Karstgrotten finden. Nahe zu der Marina von Ostuni.
Ceglie Messapica ist eine Stadt im Salento und liegt in der Provinz von Brindisi (Puglia). Die schöne Stadt rühmt sich mit der Anerkennung als Stadt der Kunst und Land der Gastronomie. Das Gebiet wird von Bauernhöfen, Trulli, alten Olivenhainen und Höhlen dominiert. Aus diesem Grund zieht viele Ausländer an, die fasziniert wieder abreisen. Das Meer ist nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt, vor allem die Marine von Ostuni, mit ihren schönen Stränden für alle Altersgruppen, oder das Naturschutzgebiet Torre Guaceto, für schöne Ausflüge und lange Spaziergänge. Die Grundfläche von Ceglie erstreckt sich südlich des Murge-Plateau, zwischen der Valle d'Itria und der AltoSalento, in einem hügeligen Teil genannt Messapi Schwelle. Die Stadt ist 31km von Taranto und 35km von Brindisi entfernt. Auch nicht weit entfernt sind die Städte von Villa Castelli (8km), Martina Franca (17km), Francavilla (14km) und San Michele Salentino (10km). Das Dorf liegt auf zwei Hügeln, von denen auf einem die Altstadt liegt, welches aus dem 19. Jahrhundert stammt. Die Umgebung ist voll mit Hügeln und Terrassen mit Trockenmauern, wo wir viele Trulli finden können. Es gibt hier sehr viel zu entdecken, Karsthöhlen, Dolinen, usw., die die Landschaft von Ihrem Standpunkt aus in ökologischen, natürlichen, historischen und archäologischen Hinsichten verschönern. Einige Höhlen wurden in der Tat in prähistorischer Zeit besiedelt und sind faszinierend zu besuchen. Die Landschaft rund um Ceglie, hat einige Wälder und Gebiete mit verschiedener, typisch mediterraner Vegetation. Hier ist es schön und gesund zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad die Gegend zu erkunden.

Trullo Home... No Cement!!Didn't know these Italian Trullo Home Existed!! Visited this Tullo in Southern Italy. It is a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof. Trulli are found in the Puglia region in Southern Italy in the areas around Alberobello, Locorotondo, Fasano, Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, and Ceglie Messapica. A future vlog with some of these towns coming soon.

We made the decision to finish our time in Italy by venturing down South so some INCREDIBLE towns in the Puglia (Apulia) and the Basilicata region of Italy. We tried some of the best food we've had (Literally one food made top 3 of all time/all countries on my list) and explore 3 beautiful southern Italian cities. The ancient city of Matera, the Spartan settled Taranto and the gorgeous port city of Bari. Eating italian street food the entire time! (and probably some of the best food in the south of Italy)
