Saint Lucia is the ultimate honeymoon destination. It has the most beautiful nature and is the absolute highlight in the middle of the Caribbean. There is also plenty to do for backpackers and traveling families. In this video I show you why every traveler should visit Saint Lucia at least once: it's just a place that can hardly be beat!
After Saint Lucia we visit many more gems in the Caribbean. Whether they will match with Saint Lucia remains to be seen! With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.
This year we travel all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde and Martinique, Saint Lucia is our fifth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in the Caribbean and then to many more beautiful destinations! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. This was an amazing trip for my Queen's Birthday. St Lucia blew our minds with spectacular views, waterfalls, amazing food, beautiful sights, and adventure. To get into St Lucia as a vaccinated traveler this past summer, we needed a negative COVID-19 test within the last 5 days and a completed travel authorization form before landing. (***CHECK CDC WEBSITE FOR COVID-19 TESTING REQUIREMENT UPDATES FOR VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS HEADING BACK INTO THE US: ). Saint Lucia as a tourist is very expensive as many resorts start at over $1,000 USD per day. See the World, Save a Dollar is the motto and it was difficult to do it on this trip. We did so much and stayed within our budget of $1,200 for 5 days including flights, accommodations, food, attractions, and souvenirs.

Top 5 best beaches in stunning St Lucia
Wherever you go in the Caribbean, the beaches should be beautiful. However, the people of Saint Lucia, a tropical island nation in the eastern Caribbean Sea, are known to be particularly beautiful. The island is covered with soft white sands and surrounded by clear waters, but it's incredibly lush landscapes that take the beaches to a surprisingly new level.
Whether you want to dive into the sand with books, beer and sweet mountain views, or just want a little more adventure on a beach excursion, Saint Lucia will cover you. Here is the best beach on the island for all beach goers.
Top 5.
Jalousie (aka Sugar Beach)
Did you even go to St. Lucia if you didn`t spend at least one afternoon baking in the sun while admiring the views of the stunning twin peaks? This beach is THE place to make that happen. Nestled right in the middle of the two mountainous landmarks, Jalousie Beach looks and feels incredibly green – but it`s also known for its powdery white sand and its quintessential Caribbean blue waters.
Half of the beach is owned by the luxury hotel Sugar Beach Resort (hence its nickname Sugar Beach), but fortunately, you don`t need to be a guest to enter. There is also a portion of the beach that`s accessible to the public. Aside from spectacular views, the beach is also popular with snorkelers and divers who are fascinated by the 1800-foot drop-off at the foot of Mount Piton.

Grand Anse beach
Yes, yes, most people go to the beach in search of salt water and sand. But there are also turtles on this eastern beach! Lots of turtles! And not only sea turtles, but also endangered leatherback turtles, known as the largest of all sea turtles. During the breeding season (March-August), travelers come to see them crawl out of the water and lay their eggs.
Don't you like turtles? no problem. Grand Anse is also a wonderful beach in itself. Especially if you are interested in a secluded atmosphere. Due to its location on the eastern side of the island, the Grand Anse is clearly wild, farther than its western cousins, and has long pristine sand (one and a half miles) perfect for a quiet walk on the beach. But, of course, access to remote beaches is a bit difficult. We recommend using 4x4. The situation changes depending on the weather, so if you want to go, ask the locals for the best way.
