Eating out at French restaurants is just better ????????

After having visited Toulouse yesterday, we try to emulate French village life by visiting some villages in the Tarn-et-Garonne department.
In the morning we drive to Grisolles, where there is a farmers' market. After that, we go to Moissac, because there is an interesting abbey there that might be worth checking out. After Moissac we drive to the nearby village of Castelsarrasin, there we discover some beautiful buildings.
For lunch we drive back to Dieupentale, where our Airbnb is located and we eat at the French restaurant of the village. We found out: French restaurants are just better. The quality of food in France is really high and even if you go to a standard restaurant you will get very tasty food.

Leaving Valence d’Agen, we ride through gorgeous countryside to the town of Moissac, checking out the world famous abby known for it’s Romanesque (and to be honest, rather creepy) Romanesque artwork. Then it’s across the Pont-Canal du Cacor, another long and beautiful aqueduct, and after a short day, spend the evening in Castelsarrasin before continuing on to Toulouse which, we discover, is a vibrant, beautiful city. We find a lovely hotel right on the banks of the Canal du Midi, our route out of town, and explore the city by night, thoroughly enjoying what is, to this point, the largest city of our entire trip.

For a week, we spend our life in the French countryside. Will we like it? The past weeks, we've definitely been looking forward to it. Rural France has a lot to offer: beautiful nature, picturesque villages, amazing food. Will our experience in the French countryside live up to its expectations? Our first full day in the French village of Dieupentale will show.
Our first stop: A supermarket in a nearby village to get some natural, delicious French products. And then, we pay a visit to a local bakery. Because you cannot visit the French countryside without going to one of their artisanal bakeries. What delicious pastries do we end up getting? Of course, we share in full detail what we buy in this vlog about our life in the French countryside.
But our day doesn't end there! Keep watching to see a local farmer's market in Montech and a spontaneous bike right along a canal.

There are important waterways in Moissac: the Tarn River flows through the centre of town, as does the Canal de Garonne (formerly Canal latéral à la Garonne), the extension of the Canal du Midi from Toulouse to Bordeaux. Together, these two canals are sometimes known as the Canal des deux mers (lit. canal of the two seas) connecting the Atlantic Ocean with the Mediterranean Sea.
