Residences of the House of Savoy - UNESCO World Heritage Site

The UNESCO World Heritage site of the residences of the Royal House of Savoy in Turin is a collection of palaces, lodges, and other residences, built by the Royal House of Savoy in Turin, during the 16th - 18th centuries. After moving their capital to Turin in 1562, the Savoys set about building a series of new palaces to reflect their immense wealth, power and prestige.

The world heritage site includes five palaces in Turin itself, as well as nine castles and country estates in the surrounding countryside. Here we visit the Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama, Palazzo Carignano, and Palazzina di Stupinigi.
