TRAVELING TO MANZANILLO, MEXICO

I had been in the town of Zihuatanejo and the dangerous state of Gerrero in Mexico (according to the statistics) but was about to take the night bus up along the coast to the next beach town of Manzanillo. It would be a long ride coming in to the bus station at 5 in the morning. The town has a shipping port were cargo ships from around the world arrive. I had previously come from other famous destinations in Mexico such as Acapulco, Puerto Escondido, Huatulco and also my favorite destination of Mazunte in the state of Oaxaca.

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Guadalajara

Places to see in ( Castile La Mancha - Spain ) Guadalajara

Guadalajara is a city and municipality in the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha, Spain, and in the natural region of La Alcarria. It is the capital of the province of Guadalajara. It is located roughly 60 kilometres (37 miles) northeast of Madrid on the Henares River, and has a population of 84,803 (2012).

A Roman town called Arriaca, possibly founded by a pre-Roman culture, is known to have been located in that region. There is however no archeological proof of its existence, only references in texts such as the Ruta Antonina, which describe it as being in the hands of the Carpetani[2] when encountered by the Romans. The city, as Caracca, was incorporated into the Roman province of Hispania Tarraconensis. The city was on the high road from Emerita (modern Mérida) to Caesaraugusta (modern Zaragoza), 22 M. P. northeast of Complutum (modern Alcalá de Henares).

The town of Guadalajara was founded by the Andalusians in the 8th century. They named it Wādī-al-Ḥajāra (Arabic: وَادِي ﭐلحَجَارَۃ‎‎), meaning Valley of Stones; in theory the literal translation of the Iberian name (Arriaca), meaning Stony River. The history of the town during the Al-Andalus period was significant. They built monuments including the Moorish Bridge over the Henares River, the now ruined old Alcázar (Arabic for palace), and a mosque which later became the former Cathedral of St. Mary.

Nowadays, Guadalajara is involved in urban development plans that are quickly increasing the population of the city. New districts like Aguas Vivas (Live Waters) have recently been inaugurated.

The bridge across the Henares river is Arab but built on Roman foundations. It has several historic buildings such as the Palacio del Infantado, as well as many churches, such as the church of San Ginés. Although Guadalajara is the biggest city in its diocese, the cathedral is located in the nearby town of Sigüenza. However, in Guadalajara, there is a co-cathedral: the church of Saint Mary, in Mudejar style. Very close to this church, is placed the chapel known as Capilla de Luis de Lucena, which has several fresco paintings on its walls and ceiling. The Church of los Remedios was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1924, and currently serves as the auditorium of the University of Alcalá. The Church of la Piedad was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931.

he districts of Iriépal, Taracena, Usanos, and Valdenoches are small agricultural districts, primarily dependent on the economic activity of Guadalajara and with little historical architecture, usually just a modest medieval or modern church. Thus, in Iriépal there is the Concepción church, constructed in the 16th century, which is known for its Mudejar tower. In Taracena there is the 17th century Church of the Immaculate, in a very simple Renaissance style. In Usanos, there is the 13th-century Romanesque church of the Assumption, considerably remodeled in later periods and which features a crenelated tower.

Manzanillo Beach Puerto Escondido Mexico ???????? (Secret⛱️) 4K Walking Tour Beach Walk & Review

Of Puerto Escondido's seven beaches, Playa Manzanillo, which rings Puerto Angelito, is one of the safest for swimming. It's also one of the best for snorkeling, with a sandy ocean floor (watch for the occasional large rock), some coral formations, and calm, clear water. Locals are working towards Blue Flag eco-certification, so you'll see recycling bins, solar-powered lighting, and eco-toilets. Dogs must be leashed.

You can reach this beach on foot (a 15-minute walk west of the Adoquín), by taxi (MX$25), or via a pathway from Playa Angelito. There's a long staircase down to the beach. The beach offers plenty of shade and is lined with casual beach restaurants (Palapa de Carrasco is a top choice) with lounge chairs.

Playa Manzanillo is a gorgeous beach that measures approximately 70 meters in length with a width of around 30 meters. This hidden bay has fine white sand with beautiful water to swim and play in.

Manzanillo beach is the ideal destination if you’re looking to relax or if you’re traveling with your family. Swimming at Manzanillo is one of the highlights as the bay is protected and the swimming conditions are suitable for almost anyone regardless of your experience.

How to hike to the great snorkel spot of Playa Manzanillo in Zihuatanejo

Playa Manzanillo: Zihuatanejo, Mexico. A popular spot for boat tours of snorkelers and scuba divers. We get there a different way. Not many people know that you can get there on foot or by vehicle. We went scuba diving here recently and it has a lot of great sea life. It's a bit rocky on the beach, but we love hiking down. I tried to best show how to find the beach by land. It's a bit hidden, so hopefully this will help others find this hidden spot.
