Top 05 Beaches - Paraiba - Brazil
Hello and welcome to Discovering Brazil, the channel that takes you on a journey to the most beautiful and fascinating destinations of this country. Today, we're going to explore the top 5 beaches of Paraíba, a state that is famous for its beaches, cliffs, and culture. Get ready to discover the hidden gems of the Northeast!
Beach 1: Praia de Tambaú
Our first stop is Praia de Tambaú, a beach that is the heart of João Pessoa, the capital of Paraíba. This beach has a long promenade that you can walk or bike on, as well as a variety of bars and restaurants that you can taste the local cuisine in. Fun fact: Praia de Tambaú was the location of the Brazilian TV series Mulheres de Areia in 1993, which became a classic of the genre and portrayed the rivalry and love of twin sisters.
Beach 2: Praia de Coqueirinho
Next, we have Praia de Coqueirinho, a beach that is a paradise for surfers, divers, and nature lovers. This beach has cliffs that you can hike or rappel down, as well as a coral reef that you can snorkel or dive in. Did you know that Praia de Coqueirinho was the location of the Brazilian movie O Homem Que Desafiou o Diabo in 2007, which told the story of a traveling salesman who meets the devil and falls in love?
Beach 3: Praia de Jacumã
Moving on, we arrive at Praia de Jacumã, a beach that is known for its natural pools, waterslides, and adventure sports. This beach has a lagoon that you can swim or kayak in, as well as a zipline that you can ride over the ocean. A fascinating fact about Praia de Jacumã is that it was the location of the Brazilian edition of the TV show The Bachelor in 2014, which had a romantic date on the beach and caused a stir among the fans.
Beach 4: Praia do Amor
Our fourth beach is Praia do Amor, a beach that is a hidden gem between two cliffs and a river. This beach has a secluded atmosphere that you can relax or explore in, as well as a rock formation that you can climb or take pictures on. An interesting fact about Praia do Amor is that it was the location of the Brazilian telenovela Coração de Estudante in 2002, which portrayed the romance and drama of a group of university students.
Beach 5: Praia de Tambaba
Last but not least, we have Praia de Tambaba, a beach that is famous for its naturism, beauty, and preservation. This beach has a section that is designated for nudists, as well as a natural pool that you can soak or swim in. A curious fact about Praia de Tambaba is that it was the location of the Brazilian movie A Glória e a Graça in 2017, which starred the transgender actress Carolina Ferraz and dealt with themes of acceptance and identity.

CRAZY Carnival in Rio, Florianópolis and the BEST Beaches in BRAZIL?
There is so much to see in Brazil. Our time here was only about 5 weeks and we could have spent 5 years exploring and still not covered it all! From a long bus to Florianópolis, possibly the best place to visit in Brazil, to a crazy time at Rio Carnival 2019. Outstanding beaches and good times in Cabo Frio and Arraial Du Cabo. Our time was mainly around Rio state, covering historical Paraty and island life around Angra Dos Reis. We ended with a short stay with a friend in São Paolo before continuing onto another adventure.
In this video we showcase our highlights of Brazil, and all the places we visited in sequential order, showing our time here through a mixture of highlight clips and audio treats.

To wind down and relax in Angra Dos Reis, mainly because everyone had gone to a main nearby island and we booked too late, but spontaneous surprises are always the best (apart from getting bit by a dog).
