Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Carmona, Cavite, Philippines International Balikbayan Trip 2023
Hello and welcome to our first International trip video this 2023 as we head home to the Philippines particularly Carmona, Cavite from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We've been through 3 flights, Calgary (YYC) to Vancouver (YVR) with Air Canada flight AC227 (1 hour, 25 minutes flight time) and their Airbus A319. Vancouver (YVR) - Taipei (TPE) with EVA Air flight BR9 and their Boeing B777-300ER (13 hours, 30 minites flight time) and lastly Taipei (TPE) - Manila (MNL) with EVA Air flight BR277 and their Airbus A330-300 (2 hours, 20 minutes flight time).
We left Calgary last January 20, 2023 and arrived in Manila, Philippines last January 22, 2023, 2 days after as we cross the Pacific Ocean and International Date Line. Our flight from Vancouver to Taipei encountered moderate Clear Air Turbulence kinda bumpy flight but smooth the rest of the way. The flight food service at both EVA Air flights are superb, they also have a good service too. Taipei Taoyuan International is huge, there are lots of shops and restaurants inside the airport. Masks are mandatory for EVA Air flights and at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, please bring and wear your mask.
When we arrived at NAIA 1, we have to present our eTravel QR code to the Bureau of Quarantine for scanning, it is required to enter Philippines. If you don't have one, they will stop you and register to enter. Bring your COVID-19 vaccine record in case they ask.
We rented our car at Europcar, their desk is located at the arrival area across left side immediately after you exit. The car we've rented is Toyota Vios 1.3 E CVT. We paid P54000 plus security deposit of P10000, the deposit will give it back to you once you returned the car. Once you show your reservation for the car rental, a shuttle service of theirs will pick you up and bring to their car rental depot for payment, inspection, briefing and releasing of your rental car. You have to video the inspection for scratches and damage evidence just in case you might have a new scratch or damage (Hopefuly not)
We take NAIA Expressway then MM Skyway South then South Luzon Expressway towards Southwoods Exit, then we pass through Silmer and Silcas Villages in Binan, Laguna and Manila Southwoods area and end up at Jollibee Checkpoint at corner of Congressional Ave and Governors Drive in Carmona to buy our dinner as we are very hungry and tired on this long haul flight journey.

NAIA Expressway - P45.00
Skyway / NAIA Expressway - Southwoods - P198.00
Silcas Village - P5.00

Hey guys, are you looking for something different to do in the Philippines? Try paragliding in Carmona, Cavite. It was a totally new adventure experience for us. It was fun, exhilarating, and we had a great day jumping off a cliff in to the big blue sky! We totally loved it as you can see in our video.
COST: Normally 3500php, now on promo for 2400 weekdays and 2800 weekends. We're not sure how long the sale will last.

Mhel was a great pilot, he overly emphasized safety first and made for a fun flight for Rose. She had a blast!
My pilot Buko was great as well, he took care of me in flight and when we didn't make it the first go at it, he took me for a 2nd flight. Very cool!
Paragliding would be a great date trip, anniversary, birthday gift or if you just fancy a day trip with a little adrenaline :)
We loved the fact that these guys are promoting tourism in Cavite and look forward to another flight with them in the future

Because of the pandemic, the Paragliding activity in Carmona, Cavite created it's own spark to local tourists. 4K - Carmona - Calatagan Road Trip Tour 2023 - Let's go to the Beach
Hello and welcome to our last Philippine Road Trip episode as we travel to Calatagan in Batangas Province particularly Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort, and yes we are going for an outing again but this time in the sea.
Actual travel time is 2 hours and 20 minutes. We will be passing through Tagaytay City, Nasugbu, and Lian via Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway and Zobel Highway (Lian-Calatagan Highway). Weather is gloomy with some light drizzle but when we reach Stilts it was Sunny with some isolated showers.
We will also show you some amenities and their white sand beach. Before heading here, you should book a reservation as they wont accept any entry at the resort without it. If you want to know their rates, here is their website.

Pinoy Joyride - Silang (Mallorca) to Carmona Joyride
There is another route from Kaong Road / Silang GMA road to Carmona and will bypass the busy Governor's Drive ending in the Carmona Rotunda. This road passes through Mallorca City - Cathay Land. and will pass the Davilan Road. Davilan road is sort of hilly and going further will end up to Carmona Estates and the soon to open Ciela Aera Heights (formerly San Lazaro Race Track Carmona). Please drive with caution as this entire stretch passes thru residential communities.
