In this video, you'll hear about the top 15 states to visit in the United States of America.
I tried to be as objective as possible, so a lot of resources were used to create this video:
3 different lists about the best cities in the US, and a list that ranks the best places to visit. I also considered how many national parks every state has, and which state offers the best food (by ratings on Yelp). Beaches are important as well as hikes, and last but not least, the weather year-round influenced the score too.

Acadia National Park - 10 Things to Do!
These are 10 things you can do in Acadia National Park! Located on Mount Desert Island, the largest island off of Maine, Acadia boasts over 49,000 acres of glaciated coastline landscape, featuring a wide variety of activities such as hiking, climbing, biking, kayaking, bird watching, fishing and stargazing. Be sure to wake up early to see the first sunrise in the United States on Cadillac Mountain, bring good footwear to explore the many wonderful and interconnected trails, or a bicycle for the numerous carriage roads. We highly suggest using their shuttle system instead of trying to find extremely limited parking throughout the park. We took this trip in the summer of 2019 and cannot wait to return.

Spending a Day in Cadillac, Michigan
Here are some tips for spending a day in Cadillac, Michigan. Cadillac is a very popular destination for tourists in northern Michigan for both Michiganders and out-of-state travelers. Cadillac has a great downtown area with many shops and restaurants including the Blue Heron Cafe as well as some great historic sites. In addition, Cadillac also has a lot of great parks along Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell including the Cadillac Sound Garden, Kenwood Heritage Park, and William Mitchell State Park. Mitchell State Park has a campground, a hunting and fishing center, miles of hiking trails, and a beach along Lake Mitchell. Back in 1975, Cadillac was also the proud host of the famous rock band KISS.

Note: See the Trail Dashboard at the end that gives detailed information about the Cadillac Mountain North Ridge Trail, including how it scored on four difficulty components.
In mid-October we travelled to Maine to visit Acadia National Park. Within this very popular park is Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak along the North Atlantic seaboard and the first place to view the sunrise in the United States from early October through March. While it is a popular activity to drive to the 1,500 foot summit at sunrise, our morning was overcast and filled with fog that covered the oceanside peak and precluded any scenic looks. Instead, we used the morning to tackle the Beehive Trail, a hike that provided thrills as well as views - since it sat below the cloud cover. Afterwards we passed by Thunder Hole on our way to Jordan Pond House, a historic restaurant with spectacular views and mouth watering local food and brews. Once satisfied, we headed to Cadillac Mountain, that iconic peak that uniquely combines the serenity of the open sea with the thrill of a pinnacle ascent and the backdrop of autumn colors. It is no wonder that many place this on their list of the best day hikes in the country.
