Today we start our day in Chapada Diamantina National Park at Pousada Lendas Do Capao (a treehouse). This is one of the most unique accommodations we have ever stayed at. We decide to do a big hike today to a waterfall, Cachoeira da Fumaça a waterfall that is massive, enormous, and by the time the water gets halfway down it's decent, it seems to evaporate and turn into smoke. The waterfall gets its name from this illusion. It is one of the most unbelievable waterfalls (or places in general) in Chapada Diamantina. So watch this video, let us know what you think. Today we travel to Cachoeira, one of the significant places in Brazilian history. It was here that the declaration of independence was pronounced in the early 19th century.
From Cachoeira we travel to Maragojipe, or Maragogipe for the local carnaval celebrations. This small city in the bahian countryside states a joyful celebration with lots of interestingly clad inhabitants strolling through the streets. The carnaval of Maragojipe has become a sought after visual object for all kinds of camera enthusiasts around Brazil and the world.

THE BIGGEST WATERFALLS IN THE WORLD | Iguazu Falls, Brazil (275 waterfalls!)
Niagara Falls seems just a little smaller now! A true world wonder, Iguazu Falls sits on the border between Brazil and Argentina and is known as the biggest waterfalls in the world because of the sheer number of falls (275) and also because they stretch for 3km (longer than any other waterfall system). It is definitely a jaw dropping attraction and I would highly recommend visiting both sides in you are able to. But until then, join me for a virtual tour of the beautiful Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian side. Might even go for a little swim ;)

This is Cachoeira do Toboga, a huge rock you can slide down and a top attraction in Paraty. This has to be one of the most interesting and fun things in Paraty. We are two travelers, traveling around Brazil for a few months and documenting our experience in daily vlogs. Join us to see more than Rio, Sao Paulo, and Paraty, but the adventure continues.
