There are also numerous tales about the mystery or the origin of the name Panubigan. One story tells us of a group of people who discovered a kind of water. It was spring water, but others say that the name Barangay Panubigan is a contraction of two words, that is, Panu-bigan which means that there is a neighboring place, an island that caters water to other neighboring islands. This was how it got its name as the place is the watering place of all seven islands and four sitios, who are getting their water supply in the area of Panubigan.

I had a short trip to Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte last week. I went with a friend who is a resident of Sindangan. He toured me around his hometown with his motorbike. It was great. I like how laid-back this small town is. People are friendly and nice. He brought me to Divine Mercy Shrine is which is a religious place. I like the overlooking view of the town especially on sunsets.

I've been Merloquet waterfalls a countless times already but I never get tired of seeing its beauty. Its natural staircase design is such a work of art. I brought my girlfriend here and filmed her while she was literally chilling with the cold water pouring over her head. Plus, we were the only people in Merloquet Falls Zamboanga City. It was a great experience
Merloquet falls is located in Barangay SIbulao, Zamboanga City, roughly 2 hours from Zamboanga's 'pueblo'. Take any van or bus that passes along Brgy Vitali (70 pesos) then stop over at Brgy. Sibualo. Ride a motor bike going to the waterfalls (100 to 150 pesos, make sure you got some haggling skills). It's easy.

Vamos a Zamboanga!! I was so excited to visit Asia's Latin City. For no reason, other than unwarranted fear, most foreigners don't visit this incredibly unique part of Mindanao - and that's a shame. Zamboanga is unlike any other city i've been to in the Philippines, but all the while exhibits the same characteristics that make Philippines such a pleasure to travel to begin with. Zamboanga features different language, food, and style, but the Filipino hospitality remains the same. Enjoy this look at the best of Zamboanga.

Cawa Cawa Boulevard or R.T Lim Boulevard
Strictly speaking, Cawa Cawa Boulevard is no longer the name that this market goes by. However despite the fact that it has been several years since it was renamed to Justice R.T. Lim Boulevard, this Zamboanga destination is still called and is more commonly known as Cawa Cawa Boulevard. One might wonder what the hype is about over a market but once one sees what is in Cawa Cawa Boulevard, one will appreciate this place. Dirt cheap shopping can be done here and there are several food stalls to choose from in case one gets hungry. It looks somewhat like Roxas Boulevard in Manila in that one can stroll by the seashore but wait for the sun to set and Cawa Cawa Boulevard comes to life. There are strips of bars here that one can grab a quick drink at, go dancing or karaoke.
Cawa Cawa Boulevard is also a favorite among residents and this was designed for those who love walking by the beach but hate the feel of sand in between their toes. One can think of this Zamboanga destination as a kilometer stretch of everything one might need from food to souvenir items to a leisurely walk.
