Driving in the Netherlands: Rijksweg N35 from Almelo (Wierden) to Zwolle
In this video you can ride along on provinciale weg N35 from Wierden (Almelo) to Zwolle in the East of the Netherlands. The N35 is an important link between both urban areas of Zwolle and Twente, near the border with Germany.
As the N35 runs through quite a few towns, expanding it to a 2 x 2 full profile expressway has been difficult. The traffic numbers do indicate that expansion would be favorable, however plans have always been postponed over the last few decades. The most recent expansion / change was the central bypass of Nijverdal opened around 2013-2014. They sank the N35 below grade and it partly runs through a tunnel underneath the small city. The N35 has a short section of 2 x 2 right before entering Zwolle.

Driving in the Netherlands: N9 & N99 from Julianadorp to Den Oever (A7)

In this video you can drive along on the provincial roads N9 and N99 in the North of Noord-Holland. Or as the Dutch call it: 'de kop van Noord-Holland' (The head of North-Holland).
The stretch in this video is for the majority a single-lane expressway with varying speed limits from a 100 to 80 km/h. The N99 connects the city of Den Helder with the Rijksweg A7 and is a well-used road, especially in the tourist seasons. The ferry to the island Texel departs from Den Helder and it's also home to the Dutch navy base. There are also some popular beaches on the North Sea, mainly accessible from the N9. Julianadorp is one of the more Northern ones.
The N9 is an extension of the Rijksweg A9, which runs from the region Amsterdam to the city of Alkmaar. From Alkmaar it continues North to the point in this video as the N9.
N roads in the Netherlands are so-called provincial roads and secondary to the A-roads (motorways). You can compare them to the German B roads (Bundesstraßen).
Regarding Noord-Holland: it's the Northern province of both provinces that make up the original 'Holland' in the West of the Netherlands. The other province is Zuid-Holland, home to big cities like Rotterdam and the Hague. Noord-Holland is home to big cities like Amsterdam and Haarlem. Although Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands, it's not the capital of Noord-Holland. The provincial capital is actually Haarlem.

Driving in the Netherlands and Germany: A28, A37 & B402 E233 from Meppel to Meppen (A31)
In this video you can drive along on another international journey from the Netherlands to Germany. This time we are driving from the City of Meppel in the East of the Netherlands to nearby Meppen in the West of Germany.
This is not a very busy international corridor but a nice alternative to get to Germany, depending on where you are going. The roads in this part of the Netherlands and Germany have relatively low traffic numbers so standing in traffic would be rare.

Driving in Germany: Autobahn A31 from Meppen to Kreuz Schüttorf (A30)
In this video you can drive along on the Autobahn A31 that runs parallel to the border with the Netherlands in the West of Germany. We start around the city of Meppen, where the B402 (E233) meets the A31.
Driving southbound to Kreuz Schüttorf, where the A31 meets the A30, we take the exit in the eastern direction (Osnabrück). The western exit takes you back to the Netherlands (signed Amsterdam).
This stretch of A31 is mostly unlimited and popular among Dutch people for 'speed tests', at least that's the impression I often get when I drive this Autobahn. It's similar to the A3 and A57 Autobahns running from the Dutch border.

On Saturday 20 August 2022 I rode the e-bike from Bad Nieuweschans in Groningen to Ditzum in Germany. This part was filmed from Bad Nieuweschans to a few kilometres below Ditzum.

In deze Sri Lanka reisvlog zijn wij in Ella. Wij laten jullie ons prachtig hotel, Ella Water Front, zien. Vanaf ons balkon hebben wij een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en een waterval. Na het ontbijt maken wij ons klaar voor een nieuw avontuur. We nemen een tuk tuk naar de Flying Ravana mega zipline. Dit is te vinden aan het begin van Little Adam's Peak. We krijgen een harnas en een helm. Na een kleine veiligheidsinstructie is het nu dan echt tijd om te gaan. Er zijn 2 ziplines waardoor we tegelijkertijd naar onder kunnen. We gaan met een topsnelheid van 90 KM per uur door de prachtige bergen van Sri Lanka. Wat een geweldige ervaring!
