Villa Varda was the manor house of the Mazzoleni’s family, from Bergamo, during the XV century and it is located along the Livenza riverbanks.
The Park of the Villa has the typical English park landscaping and it includes various architectural structures: the Orangery, the icehouse, with a crenelated tower where ice was stored before refrigerators, and a small mausoleum where the last owners of the Villa were buried.
The Park is rich in native tree varieties such as cedar, pine, yew, hornbeam, elm, and maple. The Livenza river creates an inlet, which was used in the past as a mooring for boats traveling to Venice: this makes the landscape of the residence romantic and picturesque.
It is the perfect location to take a walk and enjoy the beauty of nature, mixed with art!

A Sacile, nel 1957 una statua alta 2,60 metri viene posta sulla cuspide del campanile, grazie all'intervento di un elicottero statunitense ????????.
???? Si tratta di un angelo benedicente, opera dello scultore udinese Max Piccini che pesa ben 250 kg!!!
???? Mario, ci fa vedere il video in b/n di questa ardita operazione, terminata con un successo che ha del miracoloso…

This is in the Sacile, Italy piazza during one of the many festivals.
Corno di Rosazzo - Piccola Grande Italia
Incastonato nel cuore dei colli orientali del Friuli Venezia Giulia, Corno di Rosazzo offre - grazie al suo comprensorio ricco di boschi e vigneti - pittoreschi percorsi.
L'abitato si estende a semicerchio allo sbocco della valle del Corno, riparato da un anfiteatro di colline eoceniche ricche di depositi fossili. Un'area che è riuscita a coniugare lo sviluppo dell’artigianato e dell'industria alla viticoltura di pregio con la valorizzazione del patrimonio naturalistico che fa da supporto allo sviluppo del turismo.

Pordenone, il fiume Noncello
Il fiume Noncello attraversa Pordenone a partire dall'antico quartiere di Torre, lambisce poi il centro storico della città e l'abitato di Vallenoncello, per poi confluire più a sud nel fiume Meduna.
Nel tratto più vicino al centro storico della città, è circondato da una flora spontanea di salici, pioppi e ontani che caratterizzano il Parco fluviale del Noncello.
La città deve il proprio sviluppo al traffico fluviale che anticamente (e fino alla prima metà del Novecento) la collegava al mare Adriatico e dunque a Venezia attraverso il percorso Noncello-Meduna-Livenza.
Il toponimo Pordenone (Portus Naonis) deriva dal vecchio nome del fiume Noncello.
