Broken Hill in Four Minutes | Driving Around | Outback NSW

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE and support this channel - Thank You!

Broken Hill, historically considered one of Australia's boomtowns, has been referred to as The Silver City, and less commonly as the Oasis of the West, and the Capital of the Outback. Although over 1,100 km (680 mi) west of Sydney and surrounded by semi-desert, the town has prominent park and garden displays and offers a number of attractions, such as the Living Desert Sculptures. The town has a high potential for solar power, given its extensive daylight hours of sunshine. The Broken Hill Solar Plant, which was completed in 2015, is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Broken Hill Restaurants

Broken Hill Restaurants is about four of the restaurants that we visited in our week's stay in #BrokenHill. We give a basic idea of the price for a meal at each of the restaurants. Starting at #SillyGoatCafe which we highly recommend, it was a trendy little joint in Argent St. Next we visited the #AstraHotel for lunch and we really loved the fresh, homemade food on offer. #BellsMilkBar is a must see as it represents the milk bars of years gone by. Surprisingly it is not in the main street, but rather in South Broken Hill. We went to the Palace Hotel for dinner and found the decor to be typical of Broken Hill with artwork everywhere.
