I spent a day in Bratislava slovakia on my tour of East Europe. Built on the River Danube, Bratislava is a diverse city and the capital of Slovakia. Bordering Austria and Hungary, the region has been strongly influenced by various cultures over the centuries, resulting in an eclectic mix of architecture and traditions.
The unique style and history of the city makes it one of the best places to visit in Slovakia, and all of Central Europe.

My video showing you the Slovakia city center Bratislava. The Old Town with the historic centre and adjoining neighbourhoods that used to be the centre's immediate outskirts in the Middle Ages.
This is the central district, also called Staré Mesto - The Old Town. With its location and the historical center it is the most popular district to seek accommodation, job and entertainment. It is the smallest out of five districts. It spreads out on the left bank of Danube and offers a lovely walk around the historical pedestrian zone Korzo and other sights, like the Castle with a great view of the city, churches and small palaces, the Slovak National Theatre and number of charming little streets preserving some of the old Bratislava´s atmosphere.
The neighborhoods such as Palisady, Horsky Park and Castle hill with their historical apartment buildings and high ceilings are very popular residential areas. This location is sought also by international institutions, such as embassies and international schools. Property is relatively expensive in comparison to other districts but its central location and quality of housing make it a convenient place to live. Parking, however can, be a problem. (
This area called Slavín a memorial monument and military cemetery in Bratislava, It is the burial ground of thousands of Soviet Army soldiers who fell during World War II while taking over the city in April 1945 from the occupying German. (
