We’ve been to Berry before on our Jervis Bay trip, we had breakfast at The Garden Cafe. However this time, we got the beef pie and sausage roll from Milkwood Bakery.

One thing Berry is famous for is definitely the Berry Donut Van. This is a must try snack, quick and easy yet delicious! This van traveled all around Australia before deciding to make Berry their permanent home. Their freshly fried cinnamon donuts are worth it.

After Berry, we headed up towards Kiama to show you the famous Kiama Blowhole.
10:30 Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple
Nan Tien temple is a Buddhist temple located in Berkeley, just 10 minutes away from Wollongong. This is the biggest Buddhist temple in the southern hemisphere. Their architecture and beautiful garden attracts many visitor and it is one of the major tourist attraction in the South Coast of NSW.
And if you are hungry, they do have vegetarian food option at the temple.

How To Spend A Weekend In Bowral, NSW Southern Highland
In this video, I am going to take you to Bowral NSW for a weekend road trip from Sydney. Bowral is the largest town in the Southern Highlands in New South Whales, and is the perfect day trip or weekend getaway for Sydneysiders. This video was recorded back in June 2022, which was in deep winter season in Sydney.
Bowral is located in Sydney south, about 120 kms away, approximately 90 mins drive. It used to be the summer retreat area for the rich and famous from Sydney due to its cool climate. This area is also a wine region, such as Centennial Vineyards, and it’s a huge vineyard and the wine tasting costs $10 per person.
We booked to stay at Gibraltar Hotel through booking.com. It’s a boutique hotel and it’s not cheap. However, this maybe the best quality hotel in Bowral area.
I would suggest anyone travelling down to Bowral to book their restaurant dining in advance, if you like to have a proper dining experience, as it’s can be booked out during the weekend. That’s what happened to us, and we were lucky to be able to find a table in Eccetara Italian restaurant, which we had a very good experience with that night.
We further our road trip experience by visiting some friends who live in Moss Vale, and had a lunch with them before we headed back to Sydney.

In this video, we leave Forster and head to Newcastle (our sanctuary for the school holidays) stopping along the way to explore Seal Rocks. After two weeks in Newcastle we bypass Sydney and head straight to Bowral in the Southern Highlands, where we explore waterfalls and stay at some amazing camps before heading back down to the coast at Kiama.

The PERFECT Weekend Getaway from Sydney ???? Bowral, NSW Southern Highlands
We're celebrating our anniversary in Bowral, NSW. The largest town in the Southern Highlands, where the winter air is crisp and antique shopping is a sport. We had plenty of good food, good views, and had a good value massage at one of the most beautiful hotels we've seen in Sydney.
You can definitely visit Bowral as a day trip but we spent a weekend, check it out!

Things to do in the Southern Highlands, NSW | VAN LIFE AUSTRALIA ROAD TRIP | Ep 4
After a fantastic few days in Jervis, we packed up Marlee and hit the road again for the next leg of our Van Life Australia tour. This time we headed up into New South Wales' Southern Islands in the search of waterfalls, hiking trails and wombats!
In this episode, we visit Berry to try the world-famous doughnuts, check out Fitzroy Falls and Carrington Falls, and travel out to Bendeela Reserve to try and find some wombats.
Our Australia campervan road trip has been incredible so far and there are still so many great places left to see.

Oh man it was nice to be out of the city and get a change of scenery after 2 whole years staying within Sydney boundaries. We went to Bowral in Southern Highlands to stretch our legs and our stomachs.
We visited the award winning Gumnut Patisserie to sample their delicious meat pies, explored the nearby walking trails for some amazing views, had delicious wines at Bendooley Estate and rushed in for freshly made cream scones at Your Vintage Occasion Tea Salon.
International travel might not be an option just yet, but just as I rediscovered my city of Sydney this year, I think its time to rediscover NSW. ????

We decided to head down to the Southern Highlands in Bowral. The purpose is to relax and visit new places.
I have been once before and remembered just how nice and calming the place is so I decided to plan a weekend away while work is tough the last few weeks.
