S1 – Ep 218 – Orania – A Beautiful Small Town on the Banks of the Orange River!
When we left Lückhoff, we knew we were heading for the small town of Orania. We found a beautiful gravel road on which to travel. We saw amazing scenes and wildlife on this road. Then we reached the bridge which crossed over the mighty Orange River. We couldn’t help ourselves, we had to stop on the bridge and witness this awe-inspiring view. It is truly a spectacular sight to behold, the green fields of the local farmers are virtually on the banks of this river. Then we entered Orania and the first impression was that of a well-oiled machine. The town was very neat and it was a real pleasure driving through the streets. The residents of this place were so friendly, everyone waved at us as they drove by. We also found quite a few places of interest to visit, like Monument Hill and the Koeksister Monument down by the swimming pool. I was happy to see that the village was expanding, there were many new houses being built. Ethanol Production Process From Molasses Inside Factory | Ethanol Manufacturing Process
Ethanol production from molasses typically involves the following steps:
Fermentation: Molasses, a byproduct of the sugar industry, is a viscous liquid rich in fermentable sugars. The first step in the production of ethanol is the conversion of these sugars into alcohol through fermentation. In this step, molasses is mixed with water and yeast, which breaks down the sugar molecules into alcohol and carbon dioxide. The fermentation process takes place in large, airtight tanks called fermenters, which are typically made of stainless steel.
Distillation: After the fermentation process is complete, the resulting mixture contains about 10% ethanol. To obtain a higher concentration of ethanol, the mixture is distilled. Distillation involves heating the mixture to evaporate the ethanol, which has a lower boiling point than water. The vapor is then condensed and collected in a separate container. This process is repeated several times to obtain ethanol with a concentration of about 95%.
Dehydration: The final step in the production of ethanol is dehydration. In this step, the ethanol is passed through a molecular sieve, which removes any remaining water molecules and further concentrates the ethanol. This process results in the production of anhydrous ethanol, which contains less than 1% water.
Denaturing: The ethanol produced from molasses is typically denatured before it is sold for industrial use. Denaturing involves adding small amounts of chemicals such as gasoline or methanol to the ethanol to make it unfit for human consumption. This is done to avoid the high taxes and regulations associated with the production of consumable alcohol.
Storage and distribution: The final step in the production of ethanol is storage and distribution. The anhydrous ethanol is typically stored in large tanks and transported to industrial users, such as chemical manufacturers, fuel blenders, or pharmaceutical companies.

Make a big fire at Dwaalboom and stand in the streets of Graaff-Reinet. We will show a big herd of elephants in the Kruger National Park. We also show you a meerkat that caught a scorpion in the Kgalagadi National Park. Then, we will take a slow drive through Britstown in the Northern Cape and show you more videos from around South Africa.
The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
There is a forecast for severe thunderstorms in various regions, including the central and eastern parts of the North West Province, the eastern parts of the Free State Province, Gauteng Province, the south-western parts of Limpopo Province, Mpumalanga Province Highveld and escarpment areas, as well as the western and southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal Province. These thunderstorms may bring heavy downpours, strong damaging winds, hail, excessive lightning, and potential flooding in susceptible areas. There is also a risk of structural damage, falling trees blocking major roads and other related impacts. There is a significant risk of fires in the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape Province, extreme southwestern parts of the North-West Province, southwestern parts of the Free State Province, and the northwestern parts of the Eastern Cape Province.

We want to show our viewers as many places as we can across the country worth visiting. South Africa is a large country, and only some locals know where all these places are, we therefore add a map that we created to show where the video was captured more or less. We also try and provide some history on many of the towns, museums and events on that day in South Africa. We take pride in bringing original and captivating videos that will leave you in awe.
