Heritage of the 12th century, referenced among the most beautiful sites in France, the village of Bormes les Mimosas is an essential stopover for lovers of old stones and history enthusiasts!

Bormes-les-Mimosas is located in the department of Var in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. This French commune is located on the edge of the Mediterranean and in the southern part of the Moorish massif. Like any locality in the region, the climate is Mediterranean with high heat in July.

The tourist attractions of this city are many. The most important of these is the old castle which is located on a hill. Then comes St. Francis Square where you can see a statue of St. Francis de Paul, a famous monk who lived there in the fifteenth century.

In Bormes-les-Mimosas, the maximum temperature during the hottest months (July and August) is 29°C and the minimum temperature during the coldest months (December, January and February) is 3°C. The city further records around 2850 hours of sunshine per year and around 58 rainy days per year.

Saint Trophyme Church: was built in the 18th century. Its architecture is predominantly Romanesque. Many chamber music concerts are held here.

Bormes-les-Mimosas (Côte d'Azur) - Walking Tour on This Flowered Village of French Riviera

The French Riviera is a beautiful region between sea and mountains, but in Bormes-les-Mimosas this mix gets an upgrade with the addition of flowers and green plants. Made famous by the fluffy yellow mimosa flowers brought from Australia by Captain Cook in the mid 1800s, the village blooms every February in a velvety yellow festival which attracts many visitors. Unfortunately, the flowers do not last until summer but the village has many other attractions to offer: the ruins of an old château perched in the hills with a panoramic view of the bay below, cute alleys with pastel coloured houses and many other flowers and plants to go with the medieval decor. W miasteczku Bormes-les-Mimosas zaczyna się szlak mimozy na południu Francji, który ciągnie się przez 130 km aż do Grasse. Jednak w miasteczku bedącym początkiem szlaku, znaleźliśmy tylko jedno drzewo mimozy, pustki bez ludzi, oraz tonę kotów (jak w każdym starym francuskim miasteczku).

Bormes Les Mimosas is a beautiful medieval French village perched on a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The castle ruins at the top called the Château des Seigneurs de Fos date from the 12th century. The video was filmed with the DJI Mavic Pro at golden hour. The street that I fly from is where we stayed for the week.

Nous sommes allés à Bormes-les-Mimosas ou c'est une ville du sud de la France en janvier 2022

Le nom de la ville étant [mimosa] nous pensions que les mimosas seraient déjà en fleurs, mais malheureusement il semble qu'il était encore trop tôt début janvier et qu'il y avait très peu de fleurs.
Cependant, nous avons eu de la chance de voir quelques belles fleurs dans la ville, même si c'était l'hiver.
Il y avait aussi beaucoup de vent et de froid, alors j'ai fait une soupe que mon mari Matthieu et moi avons adorée cette soirée.
J'espère que vous l'apprécierez autant que nous l'avons.
