A Tour of Downtown Boerne, Texas (a Texas Hill Country neighborhood)
Boerne is a small town in the Texas Hill Country, located about 30 miles NW of San Antonio, Texas. It has a German history and background going back to the 1800's, and the population is approaching 20 thousand people, which is a lot of people given its small town roots. The downtown area of Boerne is also called old town or the Hill Country Mile, featuring a nice collection of shops and storefronts and restaurants and breweries and places featuring live music. I found a kalache at The Richter Bak Haus, and you can look out for music at The Richter Tavern, Botero Tapas + Wine Bar, Tusculum Brewing Company, Free Roam Brewing Company, The Dodging Duck Brewhaus, Salvador DOBBS and of course 259 Brantley's Bistro & Bar, where I played my gig. Good times
