Paseando en tren de la bella época.
Los trenes de vapor o eléctricos centenarios salen del pueblo de Blonay en un recorrido a través de viaductos, túneles y pastos que ofrecen una vista magnífica de la Riviera de Montreux y el lago de Ginebra.. Llegando al destino el pueblo de Chamby, ingresamos al museo y descubrimos una de las colecciones ferroviarias más completas y representativas de Europa.
Luego en el café-restaurante del museo con una terraza que ofrece tiempo para un descanso y poder observa los trenes en movimiento.

The museum railway of Blonay-Chamby is owned by a cooperative that maintains the museum's own narrow gauge railway line and exhibits over 60 historic vehicles ranging from the steam tramway locomotive to the electric streetcar in two halls in Chaulin. The museum is unique especially because the steam locomotives, electric locomotives, electric railcars, tram carriages, railway carriages, freight cars and company vehicles are maintained so that they are operational at any time.
The museum train Blonay-Chamby uses the three kilometer long narrow gauge line between Blonay and Chamby, which was built in 1902. The best-known structure on the line is the 78-meter-long

Swiss steam BLONAY - CHAMBY historic railway reopens 1968
Steam train enthusiasts saved this scenic branch between MOB and MVR/CCB lines north of Montreux, Lake Geneva, Switzerland as a working railway museum. Improvised operations had just restarted in 1968, staffed largely by volunteers. The unusual articulated Todtnauerli 105 tank engine ascended admirably from Chamby to Blonay & back carrying tourists enjoying the novelty of non-electric locomotion on the otherwise modern Swiss network.
A time capsule of local railway life filmed on 8mm silent cine stock in 1968. Paul Russenberger voiced narration in 1999. This journey is just part of my Swiss and UK footage now shared on Youtube, continuing around Lake Geneva, see

Even in the winter season, a boat sails on Lake Thun every day. So it is still possible to explore the city and region from the water at this time of year. Thanks to its outstanding transport links, Thun is also an ideal starting point for numerous winter activities throughout the entire Bernese Oberland holiday region.
Thun is also known as the summer capital of Switzerland. With mountains, rivers and the magnificent lake on its doorstep, Thun is a paradise for sports enthusiasts, sun worshipers and keen swimmers. You can even go surfing right in the heart of the city. But the opportunity to enjoy a spot of indulgence is always just around the corner too. Whether that’s strolling through the old town, enjoying an aperitif on Mühleplatz or a delicious dinner on the banks of the Aare. Another particularly special way to enjoy a hot summer’s day is with a boat trip on Lake Thun or Lake Brienz. Nice walk in the center of Geneva, leaving from Cornavin train station, I go on my left, through the Grottes district.
After crossing the shopping arcades located under the train station, I find myself at Rue du Montblanc, then Rue de Chantepoulet then return to Rue du Montblanc. I pass in front of the Four Seasons Hotel - Quai de Bergues, then I cross the Pont de Bergues.
I cross a shopping arcade which leads to Rue du Rhône, then I find myself at Place de la Fusterie.
I walk along the Promenade du Lac, on the banks of the Rhone river and here I am on the Pont du Mont-Blanc, on the video it cannot be seen, but there was a wind blowing strong. Here I am on the Quai du Mont-Blanc with its pretty Swiss flags on the sides.
We will soon come to the end of my walk, I hope you have managed to follow me ... Rue des Alpes, Square du Mont-Blanc and here i'm at the bus station, next to rue Ami-Lévrier.
You don't know Geneva as well? Me neither, not that much to tell you the truth, besides I believe well that I forgot the name of some streets by which I passed.
But that's okay, it will allow me to start another walk in this pretty city.
