La Légende des Princes Irlandais - Ferfay 2012 (Best of)
Cette vidéo est pour moi l'occasion de vous inviter à venir découvrir les 08 et 09 Juin 2012, le formidable spectacle son & lumière organisé par l'association la SCYRENDALE dans la petite ville de Ferfay (Nord / Pas de Calais, France) : La Légende des Princes Irlandais.
Voici en guise de prélude, les grandes lignes de l'histoire...
Au VIIe siècle, deux princes irlandais, Lugle et Luglien, abandonnent pouvoir et richesse pour se consacrer exclusivement à Dieu.
Ils partent alors vers Rome en pèlerinage, accompagnés de leurs fidèles serviteurs, dont le moine Erkembode. Accomplissant quelques miracles en chemin, ils traversent la vallée de la Scyrendale, où les deux frères sont sauvagement torturés puis assassinés par de célèbres bandits locaux: Béranger, Bovon et Hescelin. Erkembode, le seul survivant, les veille et assiste toute la nuit à un événement divin.
Au fil des années, les reliques des deux saints frères furent l'objet d'un pèlerinage permanent, qui contribua, avec le temps, à la création de la ville de Lillers.
Le 20 mai 1471, Isabelle du Portugal vint sur place rendre hommage à Saint-Lugle et Saint-Luglien, en offrant une châsse d'argent au diocèse de Lillers, afin d'y placer leurs reliques.
Encore aujourd'hui, l'esprit des deux Saints Frères plane encore sur notre région, faisant vibrer notre fibre irlandaise.

Le Blockhaus d'Eperlesques was de eerste site die Hitler selecteerde voor de installatie, fabricatie en lancering van V2 raketten. V1 en V2 raketten werden in 1943 voor het eerst geinstalleerd in het bos van Eperlecques om Antwerpen en Londen te vernietigen. De bunker van Eperlecques is kollosaal en indrukwekkend door zijn omvang en de gebruikte technieken. Door zijn oorspronkelijke staat en geschiedenis is Le Blockhaus van Eperelcques als eerste erkend als Historisch Monument.

Even with a bad weather it is still nice to visit places.
Sorry for the sound, I know it is not perfect but with the rain it was not easy.
