First episode of my adventures around Malta :)

In this video I explore the streets of Birkirkara, the biggest town in the island of Malta. It is localized in the center of the island and even though it is not the most touristic spot of all times, it has some special places you can visit if you happen to feel like exploring the alleyways and busy streets.

To help you organize your visit, I recommend you to read this blog post:

It was the information I followed and has all the places I visited :)

My stay in Malta started with a lot of turbulence for several reasons for which I will shed a light on the following videos. It has been a month and a half of a lot of lessons, hardships but also joys and growth, which characterize so well the life of travelling. Even though it has been quite the experience, I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm already not the same person I was when I arrived, but I'm looking forward to embrace the person I'm becoming.

Stay tuned for the next episodes, it's only going to get better ;)

Thank you a lot for watching!

Love you,
Sofia

Birkirkara, Malta. April 2022

One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL cities in Malta i have ever seen

This is one of the most beautiful cities in Malta i have ever seen!!! This city made me say WOW so many times. Talking about cities in Malta and places you should visit or consider living, i strongly believe that Vittoriosa also known as Birgu is one of the most beautiful. It is a fortified city surrounded by the medditerranean sea. I enjoyed every single minute in this city.

The area where many Maltese people live

this is the area where many maltese people live here in malta. i have been getting a lot of messages to show areas where maltese people live, and this is Zurrieq, a village where predominantly Maltese people live. It is located in the South part of Malta. This area is populated with roughly around 11 000 people predominantly Maltese. This area in Malta has pretty much everything, from shops, barbers, hair stylist, supermarkets, bus connections around the island. as well the famous Blue Grotto is forming part of this village. I recommend this area for people if they want to see where and how maltese people live, i personally enjoyed this little tour in Zurrieq as i get to know how the maltese people act around non maltese people, very friendly! we get to visit the Wied Fulija, a new park that has been build where people can go for a jog near the cliffs enjoying breathtaking views of Malta.

Best things to do in Malta - Valletta, Sliema, Gozo Island, Popeye Village

Want to know the best things to do in Malta? In this video we'll show you the beautiful places on and around this island: Valletta, Sliema, Gozo Island and Popeye Village.

Malta is a Southern European island country consisting of an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. It lies 80 km south of Italy, 284 km east of Tunisia, and 333 km north of Libya. Malta is one of the world's smallest and most densely populated countries. Its capital is Valletta, which is the smallest national capital in the European Union.

Its largest town is Birkirkara, while its chief economic centre is Sliema. The official languages are Maltese and English, with Maltese also recognised as the national language. Italian is also spoken by most of the population.

Malta has been inhabited since approximately 5900 BC. It became a British colony in 1815, serving as a critical way station for ships and the headquarters for the British Mediterranean Fleet. It played an important role in the Allied war effort during the Second World War, and was subsequently awarded the George Cross for its bravery in the face of an Axis siege, and the George Cross appears on Malta's national flag. The British Parliament passed the Malta Independence Act in 1964, giving Malta independence from the United Kingdom as the State of Malta, with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state and queen. The country became a republic in 1974. It has been a member state of the Commonwealth of Nations and the United Nations since independence, and joined the European Union in 2004; it became part of the eurozone monetary union in 2008.

Malta is a popular tourist destination with its warm climate, numerous recreational areas, and architectural and historical monuments, including three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Hypogeum of Ħal-Saflieni, Valletta, and seven megalithic temples which are some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world.

Asking people How Much Rent they Pay in Malta

Asking people how much rent they pay in Malta ? In todays video i met people that are living in Malta and asked them how much rent they pay. Some of the answers shocked me, as poeple who moved to Malta are paying a sharing room for €375 per month. Some other people are paying €950, some €1400 and even €4500 per month. The rent in Malta for accommodation is different according to the size of the apartment and the locality. Needless to say the rent in Malta has gone high up in the past 5 years and many people are not happy about that.
