According to substantiation, the present Bhilwara city had a mint where coins known as 'Bhiladi' were minted and from this denomination was derived the name of the district. And other story goes like this that a tribe known as Bheel helped Maharana Pratap in war against Mughal Empire king Akbar lived in Bhilwara region that's this area came to be known as Bheel+Bada (Bheel's area) Bhilwara. Over the years it has emerged out as one of the major cities of Rajasthan. Nowadays, Bhilwara is better known as the textile city in the country.
The oldest part of this town was set up in the middle of the 11th century by building a Krishna Radha mandir (temple) that still exists and is known as the Bada Mandir. The area that is now known as Purana Bhilwara (Patwari Mohalla, Junawas, Manikya Nagar Malikhera). There is also reference to Arjuna having fought here during the Mahabharata period.
Historical records show that a town named Mandal close to Bhilwara served as the military base for the Mughals when they had attacked Chittaurgarh. The ruins of their campsite can still be seen today. A watch tower that was built on a small mound in Mandal is now a Devi temple.

राजस्थान प्रदेश के प्रसिद्ध और विशिष्ठ जैन मंदिरों में ही शामिल हैंभीलवाड़ा शहर की आमलियों की बारी में स्थित दिंगम्बर जैन अजमेरा की गोट का बड़ा मंदिर। अपने अनूठे शिल्प स्थापत्य और नव निर्माण के कारण यह मंदिर आज श्री दिगंबर जैन चतुर्मुखी पाश्र्वZनाथ कल्पदु्रम बड़ा मंदिर के नाम से विख्यात है। मंदिर में 20 फुट उंचा पत्थर का कल्पवृक्ष और उसके नीचें विराजमान भगवान पाश्र्वZनाथ की चर्तुमुखी प्रतिमा जन आकर्षण का प्रमुख केन्द्र है। जैन धर्म के 23 वें तीर्थंकर हैं भगवान पाश्र्वZनाथ।
यह मंदिर पहले पुराने शहर के नागोरी मोहल्ले में स्थित था। स्थानाभाव के कारण नया मंदिर बनाने का विचार चल ही रहा था कि इसी बीच करीब पंाच वर्ष पूर्व मुनी पुंगव श्री सुधा सागर जी महाराज का भीलवाड़ा आगमन हुआ। मुनिश्री की प्रेरणा एंव मार्गदर्शन में मंदिर निर्माण की रुपरेखा तैयार की गई और मंदिर में चतुर्मुखी पाश्र्वनाथ भगवान की प्रतिमा कल्प वृक्ष के नीचे स्थापित करने का निर्णाय हुआ और इसी के साथ अप्रेल, 2015 मेें मुनीश्री के सानिध्य एंव मार्गदर्शन में निर्माण कार्य भी प्रारम्भ हो गया।
लगभग 200 फीट लंबे और 50 फिट चैड़े भूखंड पर प्रथम चरण में डुप्लेक्स भवन बनाया गया। संत भवन और अन्य आवश्यक निर्माण कार्य भी करवाया गया। 6 जुलाई 2016 को इस मंदिर में स्थापित चतुर्मुखी प्रतिमाओं का पंचकल्याणक उत्सव मुनि श्री सुधासागर जी के सानिध्य में संपन्न हुआ। आपको यह जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि करीब साडे सात फिट उंची ये चारों विशाल प्रतिमाएं एक ही पत्थर को काट कर बनाई गई है। मंदिर में 20 इंटू 20 फिट की चैकोर वेदी का निर्माण किया गया, जिस पर मकराना के कारीगरों द्वारा बहुत ही कलात्मक कारीगरी की गई।
जिस विशाल कल्पवृक्ष के नीचें ये मूर्तियां स्थापित की गई उसकी उुचाई 20 फिट हैं। पथ्थर से बने इस आकर्षक कल्पवृक्ष का वनज 12 टन बताया गया है। इसमें 14 फिट के तने पर 6 फिट की उंचाई में पत्थर को काट कर वृक्ष की पत्तियां बनाई गई है जो देखते ही बनती है। जिस भूरे पत्थर से कल्पवृक्ष का तना बनाया गया है वो बिदासर की खदान से लाया गया तथा हरी पत्तियों का पत्थर पन्ना की खदानों का है।
मंदिर की प्रथम मंजिल पर सोने की कारीगरी से युक्त दो वेदियो का निर्माण किया गया। इन दोनों वेदियो पर जिनेंद्र देव की 32 प्रतिमाएं विराजमान है।
जून, 2019 के प्रथम सप्ताह में मुनिश्री सुधासागर जी के सानिध्य में वेदी प्रतिष्ठान समारोह आयोजित किया गया। मंदिर में निर्माण कार्य प्रगति पर हैं। यहां एक ओषधालय और प्रतीक्षालय का भी निर्माण किया जाना हैं। जल संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने के उद्धेश्य से वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टम से पानी का स्टोरेज 45 हजार लीटर की क्षमता वाले टांके मे किया जाता है। इसमें बारिश का पानी सहेज कर रखा जाता है।

About : उदयपुर में बन रहे देश के पहले ‘बेटी गौरव उद्यान’ की तरह अब पूरे राज्य में इस तरह के उद्यान बनाए जाएंगे। जहां बेटियों के जन्म को उत्सव की तरह मनाया जाएगा। साथ ही बेटियों के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार की आधुनिक सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध रहेंगी। इसके लिए राजस्थान राज्य सरकार ने प्रदेश के सभी जिला मुख्यालयों पर बेटी गौरव उद्यान के निर्माण का निर्णय किया है। सरकार ने सोमवार को सभी विकास प्राधिकरण, नगर विकास प्रन्यास के सचिवों को उद्यान के लिए 5 से 10 एकड़ तक जमीन उपलब्धता का चयन कर राज्य सरकार को सूचित कराने के आदेश जारी किए हैं। खास बात है कि इन उद्यान में बेटियों को प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य के साथ ही स्वास्थय और कला के लिए विभिन्न आधुनिक सुविधाएं मिलेंगी। इस पूरे प्रोजेक्ट पर होने वाले खर्चे के लिए प्रपोजल मंगाए गए हैं। जानकारों के अनुसार उद्यान का निर्माण का कार्य चार तरह की फंडिंग से होने की संभावना है। इसमें पीपीपी मोड, सीएसआर, जन सहभागिता और विकास प्रन्यासों से फंडिंग हो सकती है। इसके जरिए बेटी के जन्म को गौरव और उत्सव का प्रसंग बनाना। हरित क्षेत्र को विकसित करने के साथ ही स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरुकता लाना और मनोरंजन एवं खेलकूद के अवसर उपलब्ध कराना है। जबकि जमीन की उपलब्धता के अनुसार ही सुविधाएं होंगी।
