???????? SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - Welcome to the beginning of my 3 MONTH trip travelling Brazil and day one in the insanely diverse São Paulo! This is the first video of (probably) over 30, starting off in the megacity of São Paulo (in the state of the same name). I'm a British/Polish guy who first visited São Paulo in 2009 and has been documenting life as a full-time traveller since 2016 - what are my impressions second time around?
If you've seen my previous videos, you'll know this isn't any old travel channel or Brazil vlog where we pretend to be surprised or only talk about positives to pander to locals for views. We look at reality! Plus, insane Brazilian food (comida brasileira such as the famous Mortadella Sandwich at the Municipal Market, Coxinha, Pasteis, Brigadeiros and more), history, architecture and REAL-LIFE issues affecting us all (sometimes difficult to discuss!).
In this video we take a general walk around and explore this insane Brazilian Megacity and explore central areas such as Centro, Liberdade and Avenida Paulista which all have to be on your itinerary for your Brazil trip. In future videos (as you can see in the intro), there are many more awesome videos to come including Interlagos and the history of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, and a trip to a favela!

ITU - Muito além do exagero, conheça a cidade berço da República! | Giro Brasil - São Paulo | Ep. 1
Venha comigo neste passeio pela cidade conhecida por seus exageros!
Inicio este episódio por Itu de um lugar que sempre recomendo: o Centro Histórico do município, neste caso, a Praça Padre Miguel. Dali, eu conheço a IGREJA DE NOSSA SENHORA DA CANDELÁRIA, considerada a mais bonita do Estado de São Paulo no estilo barroco e rococó.
Na Praça eu encontro alguns objetos símbolos da cidade e visito a LOJA DOS EXAGEROS DE ITU, um excelente local para adquirir lembranças típicas de lá.
Se bater a fome durante o passeio, recomendo a DOCERIA SENZALA, em funcionamento desde 1969. Depois, eu estive no ESPAÇO FÁBRICA SÃO LUIZ, uma indústria têxtil fundada em 1869 e a primeira fábrica a vapor do Estado de São Paulo. Que local incrível e oportunidade sem igual de conhecer uma importante parte da História do Brasil!
Mas não termina por aí. Mostro a Casa Imperial, a Praça Dom Pedro I e a Igreja do Bom Jesus.
Como bom paulistano, ainda faço uma parada obrigatória no BAR DO ALEMÃO, porque quem é de São Paulo (capital ou interior) sabe das delícias deste lugar que tem 118 anos de tradição. É a minha dica gastronômica neste primeiro episódio em Itu.
E para fazer a digestão, indico a visitação ao ANTIQUÁRIO DA LILA para conferir as peças incríveis do lugar, que já atua na cidade há 55 anos.
Encerro meu dia no NOVOTEL de Itu, mas mostro os detalhes dessa hospedagem incrível no próximo episódio!

The headquarters of many financial and cultural institutions are located on Paulista Avenue. As a symbol of the center of economic and political power of São Paulo it has been the focal point of numerous political protests beginning in 1929 and continuing into the 21st century. It is also home to an extensive shopping area and to South America's most comprehensive fine-art museum, MASP. Being one of the highest points in São Paulo, it is clustered with radio and TV stations antennae, most notably that of Rede Gazeta. Paulista Avenue is a major hub of the subway and bus lines of the city.

Sao Paulo Drone Flight: Paulista Avenue (Avenida Paulista in Portuguese, Paulista being the demonym for those born in São Paulo state) is one of the most important avenues in São Paulo, Brazil. It stretches 2.8 kilometres and runs northwest to southeast. Its northwest point is Praça Marechal Cordeiro de Farias at its intersection with Rua da Consolação and its southeast point is Praça Oswaldo Cruz at its intersection with Treze de Maio, Bernardino de Campos, Desembargador Eliseu Guilherme, and Dr. Rafael de Barros avenues. Major crossroads on the street are Rua Augusta, Rua Haddock Lobo and Avenida Brigadeiro Luis Antonio. About Santos: Estádio Ulrico Mursa is a football (soccer) stadium located in Santos, São Paulo state, Brazil. The stadium was built in 1920 and is able to hold approximately 7,600 people. The stadium is owned by Associação Atlética Portuguesa and its formal name honors Ulrico Mursa, who was Companhia Docas de Santos director. The stadiums attendance record currently stands at 12,500, set on December 7, 1952 when Corinthians beat Portuguesa Santista 2-1. On November 25, 1958, new steel concrete illumination towers were inaugurated. In the reinaugural match, Santos beat Portuguesa Santista 4-3. The first goal of the match was scored by Santos Pagão. However, the new floodlights deteriorated during the 1960s, and in the 1970s and in the 1980s was impossible to play night games in the stadium. In 1997, a new illumination system was built, with about 520 lux of illumination. The stadiums attendance record after this new illumination system was built currently stands at 12,249 people, set on February 9, 1997 when São Paulo beat Portuguesa Santista 3-1.
