It had been one hectic week in Ipoh having to feature 18 food outlets. I actually went to feature 23 outlets but some didn’t qualify to make it to my list. I have to thank my brother in law TC Tho together with his friend Ong for taking me around Ipoh in his new Mercedes. They were responsible for introducing the most popular foodie and even some hidden gems in Ipoh. Seriously I wouldn’t have done it without them. The pet industry in China is growing every year. I break it all down while exploring the Chengdu Pet Market, an interesting place to explore if you're traveling to Chengdu. Cats, dogs, fish, and birds are the most popular pets, but exotic pets like groundhogs can be found in the market. We also found a huge variety of turtles, frogs, and even a stingray.
In Chinese, the market is called 新开街劫宠物市场 (Xinkai Jie Pet Market). It's located at 18 Xinkai St (成都新开街18号). If you'd like to visit Chengdu's pet market, take Metro line 1 to Jinjiang Hotel station - exit C1. Walk south and turn left on Yandao St. After 250 meters, turn left on Xinkai - the market is on the right.
