The city of Siegen lies in the basin of the upper reaches of the river Sieg. From there, lateral valleys branch off in many directions. The heights of the surrounding mountains, wherever they are not actually settled, are covered in coppice. To the north lies the Sauerland, to the northwest the Rothaargebirge and to the southwest the Westerwald.

You will see the Spree River, busy James-Simon Park, which is close to Hackescher Markt, and the historic heart of Berlin: The Museum Island, one of the most visited sights of Germany's capital. This tour ends in front of the Berlin Cathedral. As Museum Island includes all of Spree Island north of the Unter den Linden, the Berliner Dom is also located here, near the Lustgarten. To the south, the reconstructed Berlin Palace houses the Humboldt Forum museum and opened in 2020. Since German reunification, the Museum Island has been rebuilt and extended according to a master plan. In 2019, a new visitor center and art gallery, the James Simon Gallery, was opened. James Simon Park is located in Berlin's Mitte district of the same name. It is named after the Berlin entrepreneur James Simon. The protected green area is located in a popular nightlife and strolling district of Berlin-Mitte. With 3.9 Million inhabitants Berlin is the most populous city of the European Union. It is surrounded by the state of Brandenburg, and contiguous with Potsdam, Brandenburg's capital. The two cities are at the center of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region, which is Germany's third-largest metropolitan region after the Rhine-Ruhr and Rhine-Main regions. Entlang der Lahn - Zwischen Natur und Tradition | WDR Reisen
Eine Tour entlang der Lahn ohne Auto - kein Problem für Stefan Pinnow: Er wandert, radelt und paddelt, er nimmt den Zug, den Dampfer und das Segelflugzeug, er fährt mit dem Pferdeomnibus, einer Grubenbahn und sogar mit einem „schwimmenden Donut“.
Stationen seiner Reise sind die Studentenstadt Marburg samt Schloss, Limburg mit dem berühmten Dom und Bad Ems, wo schon Könige und Dichter kurten. Stefan Pinnow stellt außerdem die schönsten Burgen und Schlösser entlang der 245 Kilometer langen Lahn vor, besichtigt das Erzbergwerk Fortuna und die Kubacher Kristallhöhle, bedient die Schleuse im einzigen Schifffahrtstunnel Deutschlands und erkundet die steile Ruppertsklamm bei Lahnstein.

Today's tour is in Marburg, Germany. Marburg is, quite literally, a fairy-tale town. The Brothers Grimm studied here from 1802-06, and were so enchanted by the town’s medieval flair, cobbled alleys, stunning architecture and lush countryside, that they weaved elements of this town in their famous fairy tales. Painter Otto Ubbelohde also drew inspiration from this town while working on his illustrations for the Grimm fairy tales. Marburg is an important stop in Germany’s Fairy Tale Route, and offers several faity-tale-themed tours to visitors.

und der Ascheplatz, welcher inzwischen einer modernen Sportanlage
mit Tartanbahn und Kunstrasen gewichen ist.

Walchensee. A beautiful lake in the south of Bavaria
Walchensee or Lake Walchen is one of the deepest and largest alpine lakes in Germany. We'll be exploring the beauty of the lake from above, with its colours in the summer in a bright sunny day.
It has a maximum depth of 192.3 metres (631 ft) and an area of 16.4 square kilometres (6.3 sq mi). The lake is 75 kilometres (47 mi) south of Munich in the middle of the Bavarian Alps. The entire lake, including the island of Sassau, is within the municipality of Kochel.
