Bad Gastein is a spa and winter sports resort in the Gastein Valley in Austria. Here can be admired the waterfall and the beautiful landscape. The town have beautiful shops, hotels and restaurants as well as a large spa park. The most famous hotels are the Grand Hotel de l'Europe, Hotel Badeschloss, and Hotel Straubinger. In addition to the spa treatments, the valley offers opportunities for recreation and sports throughout the year.

Through its centers runs a waterfall with a drop of 341 meters in 3 levels, which makes this enchanting town even more attractive. Before we show you the many sporting possibilities, let’s take a look at the Lake Spiegelsee which means the Mirror lake. At 1860 meters above sea level, take off your shoes and take a walk along its barefoot path which strengthens the muscles and prevents joint problems. The Gastein valley offers 4 attractive ski resorts and almost 200 km of slopes. Thanks to the altitude of 2700 meters, snow conditions are excellent and you can ski on blue, red and black slopes. Perhaps you don’t ski? Enjoy alternative activities such as sunbathing or walking across the 140 meters long transparent bridge at Stubnerkogel Mountain. Everyone needs a little bit of adrenalin sometimes.
