A Visit to Ausa Balaji Temple : Latur Aani Laturkar - Part 10
This video is about the visit to Shri. Keshav Balaji Temple, located just 2KM from Ausa city. #Ausa is around 20 kilometers from #Latur and is reachable by road and is well connected with state transport buses.
Shri. Keshav Balaji Temple in Ausa is special as it resembles the look and design of Tirupati Balaji temple located in Tirumala near Tirupati in Andra Pradesh. This temple is also surrounded by hillocks and is very nicely maintained.
Ausa Balaji Temple also has four smaller temples of Lord Ganesha, Lord Vitthal & Goddess Rukmini, Lord Shiva and Keshavanand Bapu Maharaj. Temple timings are is 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Different types of sevas are performed all throughout the day. Prasadam timings at Ausa Balaji Temple is from 10 AM to 7 PM.

AUSA Fort: Unveiling the Rich Indian History
The AUSA FORT
This fort dates back to the 10th century and was featured prominently in the battle between the Deccan Sultanates post the Bahmani Era. It was built during the reign of Muhammad Gawan, the chief wazir of the Bahmani kingdom of Bidar. The fort was captured by Malik Ambar in 1014 and was initially called Ambarapur. The fort kind of has an identity crisis as the name was changed over 13 times. But Ausa, which was the last one, stuck.
The 12-acre fort is located on a depression in the ground and is surrounded by high ground all over which gave the ruling empire an advantage as they could spot enemies from afar. The fort has high walls which protects the inside from any attack. Squarish in design with moat or khandak around it as an extra layer of protection to ward off enemies. The fort today has many bastions and cannons with a few engravings on them. There are some badly eroded Nilgari inscriptions fitted into the stone masonry of the guardrooms. The inner part of the fort is turned into a garden, with a well in between and many water channels underneath. The fort has a dargah and an old mosque too on its premises.
