It came from the times of Cold War. In Soviet times it was called Zakalyuchinsk, Kombinat-815, Eastern Office. The place was top secret and it was not marked on any of the maps of the USSR.

Here I present an album of photographs of the Russian Imperial city of Tsaritsyn that lies on the River Volga. The city was renamed Stalingrad after Joseph Stalin on April 10, 1925. This was officially to recognize the city's and Stalin's role in its defense against the Whites between 1918 and 1920. Under Stalin, the city became a center of heavy industry and transshipment by rail and river.
The city became famous for its resistance — and the extensive physical damage and death toll it suffered — during the Battle of Stalingrad against the German Army in The Great Patriotic War.
In 1945 the Soviet Union awarded Stalingrad the title Hero City for its resistance. Great Britain's King George VI awarded the citizens of Stalingrad the jeweled Sword of Stalingrad in recognition of their bravery. In 1961, Nikita Khrushchev's administration changed the name of the city to Volgograd (Volga City) as part of his programme of de-Stalinization. Beginning in 2013, for nine days every year, the city may be officially referred to as Stalingrad.........
Today, the city has been entirely rebuilt with a fine promenade overlooking the River Volga, broad tree-lined avenues and a most remarkable memorial to the city's war-time resistance .

The Gorge and the Mountain | Zhaoqing
In the second episode from Zhaoqing we visit one of Guangdong’s most popular tourist sites, plus hike a 10km gorge walk along an ancient path. Waterfalls, lakes, mountains and rivers all included as we take on Dinghu mountain and a walk back to Zhaoqing city.
To get there take bus 21 from Renmin road south to Dinghu Shan - the trip costs just 2 RMB. At the entrance you need to buy a 78 RMB ticket to get in. From the exit take a taxi to Huang Cun or number 6 bus from the Kang Kou station that also takes you to the start of the trail. At the end of the trail look for the number 1 bus that will you back into town.

Driving The Newest Russian Highway M-12 “East” from Moscow to Arzamas
Full video driving all the way through the newest Russia’s federal highway M-12 “East” from Moscow to Arzamas (~430km).
Initially, M-12 supposed to be a non-stop transit highway from Moscow to Kazan as an alternative to already existing M-7 “Volga” highway which goes directly through many towns and villages.
But at the moment the construction extended further to the Ural region to the cities of Ekaterinburg and Tyumen.
On the 8th of September was opened the site of M-12 from Moscow to Arzamas which goes from the eastern border of Moscow through Vladimir, Murom and Arzamas.

A trip in the legendary Soviet bus LIAZ-677
Arzamas is a small and very beautiful Russian city not far from Nizhny Novgorod. The main feature of the city is its buses. Until 2021, Arzamas was the last city where the legendary Soviet buses LIAZ-677 were operated. Every inhabitant of the post-Soviet space knows these buses: people love them and remember them with nostalgia, because their childhood and youth are connected with these buses.
In November 2020, 2 LIAZ-677 buses were operated in Arzamas and we went to this city to ride them.
In the morning these buses were not on the route, so we went first to the narrow-gauge railway of the gypsum plant, where there were no trains that day. Then we moved to the local railway line and caught one of the few remaining diesel locomotives 2TE10M with a native diesel engine.
In the evening we returned to the city and caught the LIAZ-677 bus, which worked on a suburban route. An hour we rode in it to the village of Poshatovo, an hour back. Ride along with me!
