Hola! En esta ocasión nos fuimos a pasar un día a Arraial do Cabo, el llamado Caribe Brasilero, una ciudad que se destaca por sus espectaculares playas de agua cristalina y arena blanca.
Con este paseo podes conocer en 1 día las principales playas de la ciudad, en este caso conocimos:
- Ilha do Farol (playa custodiada por la Marina Brasilera, por la cual solo se puede acceder con previa autorización en paseo de barco)
- Pontal do Atalaia - La famosa playa de los 250 escalones a la cual también se puede acceder via terrestre
- Praia do Forno - En esta playa solo hicimos parada para mergulho sin desembarco.

Arraial do Cabo es una ciudad brasileña del estado del Río de Janeiro, en una región llamada Região dos Lagos. La ciudad es costera, y tiene una altitud media de apenas ocho metros. Fundado en 1965, después la emancipación de Cabo Frío.
Arraial do Cabo limita al norte con el municipio de Cabo Frío, al este y al sur, con el Océano Atlántico y al oeste, con el municipio de Araruama.
El clima de Arraial do Cabo es tropical litoraleño, con mucho viento que estabiliza las temperaturas. El municipio también cuenta con un área preservada por el IBAMA, la restinga de Massambaba (estrecho pedazo de tierra, bordeado al sur por el Océano Atlántico y al Norte por la Laguna de Araruama) donde se encuentran las orquídeas más exóticas del mundo.
Según muchos entendidos, las mejores playas de Brasil se encuentran aquí, esta zona es muy famosa por sus tours en barco y otras actividades marítimas, como por ejemplo, el buceo, entre lo más destacado.
Las playas que podrás conocer en este video son; Playa Do Farol, Playa Pontal Do Atalaia, Playa Do Forno, Playa Grande, como también, poder conocer Pontal Do Alcaira.

There is a famous beach in Arraial do Cabo called Pontal de Atalaia, not far from the town center, but there are also beaches right in the town that are plenty beautiful enough to enjoy. A very nice place to escape the busy city of Rio de Janeiro, but not travel too far.

Are these the BEST beaches in Brazil? This video shows our experience of searching for the best beaches in Brazil. We had heard of a few areas around the state of Rio that we should check out after carnival.
This video covers both Cabo Frio and Arraial Do Cabo, and some of the beaches found there. It's an honest review taking into account things we had heard from Brazillians, the time of year post carnival and 'edited lives' from Instagram... not everything is as perfect as it seems.
We also explore further some of the food discoveries we have made here and show you in more details the struggles of hostel kitchens, trust me its not fun when all you have is a rice cooker...
We are so new to vlog travel, having just provided highlights set to music before (see the SE Asia series). SO this adventure is filmed and edited on the road, in hostels, on the ground with THE most slow WIFI. Having to travel and edit is going to be challenging. Outside of the city of Rio de Janeiro, is the town of Arraial do Cabo about 3 hours from the center of Rio, Brazil. Here you will find a small town that is squished between two bending beaches. Around the corner from these beaches in the center of Arraial do Cabo, are possibly the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. The prainhas or little beaches are a bunch of little coves and strips of gorgeous sand and baby blue water that will make you giddy will excitement. You can walk around the corner from the town of Arraial do Cabo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil or you can take one of the open walled busses, which are more like tractor pulled carts, that take you on the road around the cliff to the beach. You will be presented with one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, but on the weekend, one of the most packed beaches in Brazil.

Beach Hopping The Caribbean of Brazil: Arraial do Cabo
Say hello to the bluest of all water in Brazil, Arraial do Cabo.
Arraial do Cabo is a coastal town in the North of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It’s famous for its white-sand beaches like Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia and Farol Beach. Much of the area is a nature preserve which helps maintain the beauty of the nature and attract birds and marine like.
When traveling to Arraial do Cabo you'll probably be visiting for 1 of 2 reasons. A guided boat excursion that'll take you to the beaches or to scuba dive in hopes to see a sea turtle (which you'll probably see even if you don't dive!!!).
If you come to do a boat excursion DO NOT travel on one of the popular, crowded, and noisy excursions that most tourist book. We learned this lesson for you. (,:

Arraial do Cabo Day Trip with The Flight Life Group - Rio:
On the morning of our tour, we were picked up from our hotel in Rio de Janeiro @8:20 am and headed east towards the Brazilian coastline.
Around midday, we arrived in Arraial do Cabo, home to what are arguably some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. Once there, we headed to the docks to board our traditional boat that was waiting to take us on our day cruise.
We visited Pontal do Atalaia, Prainhas do Pontal and Praia do Farol, which has often topped the lists of Brazil’s best beaches - where you can make the most of the peace and tranquillity, or take a dip.
When the boat tour was over, we enjoyed a delicious buffet-style dinner in a local restaurant back in Arraial do Cabo, then finally we took the bus back to Rio de Janeiro, arriving around 11pm
