Au sud de la Bretagne, entre Mer et Terre, le golfe du Morbihan porte bien son nom. Cette région définitivement maritime regorge de sites mégalithiques, de paysages et d'iles typiquement bretons.
Depuis Vannes, en Mai 2021 nous avons passé 4 jours à sillonner le golfe : l'île aux Moines, Auray, Locmariaquer, Le Bono, Carnac, Quiberon, Arradon, ... Le patrimoine est riche et nous sommes très loin d'en avoir fait un tour exhaustif.

Sailing in France | Cruising into La Petite Mer | Ep. 120
Sailing in France is incredible. The Brittany coast is some of the most spectacular sailing in the world and you have the added intrigue of huge tides, wonderful wild-flowers, high cliffs, cliff-side trail walks and more. Our summer of exploration officially begins as we leave the town of Quiberon and head into the Gulf of Morbihan, a tidal body of water that is protected by far-reaching spits of land that nearly enclose this collection of islands and cruising grounds. This gulf is referred to as La Petite Mer - the little sea and it is approximately 5 km wide and 21 km long. This is part of the Brittany area of France and we are so happy we decided to spend a good amount of time here. Our next episode picks up where this one leaves off so be sure to check that out as well.

CAMPING 'LE DIBEN'. LARMOR-BADEN. BRITTANY. FRANCE VAN TRIP. JUNE '22.
We continue on our Southern Brittany coastal tour, to the town of Larmor-Baden, where we stay at the lovely, friendly and relaxed, very 'french' campsite - 'Camping Le Diben'. One of our favourite campsites of the whole trip... a perfect 'goldilocks' campsite....not too small, not too big....but just right!!
A perfect stop to relax and unwind.....and take a dip in the fabulous heated outdoor pool!!
For the first time in days.....the sun is out, so we make the most of it! From the campsite, there are amazing walks, taking in the Gulf of Morbihan and it's small fishing ports with it's oyster fishing... and also, a small, submersible island where we almost get caught short!!!
One night turns into five.....but it's worth the respite!!

Facing the ocean, one encounters rocky coves cut (from the beach to the tip of goblins alike St Jacques) leading to the tip of the Great Mountain (Grand Mont) (highest point).
The GR34 offers remarkable views of the islands of Houat, Hoëdic, Belle-Ile-en-Mer, and the Quiberon peninsula. The continuity of the Big Walkway can also enjoy the coast and beaches Sarzeau east, to St Jacques and Suscinio, and west to Quiberon, Port, and Port Crouesty Navalo. North, the trail follows the Gulf of Morbihan and discovers other landscapes with many small bays cut, mudflats and seagrass beds, and stunning views of the islands and islets in the Gulf of Morbihan.
