Arcos da Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - - Lapa मेहराब,lap meharaab
This is the famous Arco da Lapa in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The old Aqueduct of Carioca, known as Arcos da Lapa, is one of the city's postcards, in addition to being the most representative symbol of the Old River preserved in the bohemian region of Lapa. The structure, in mortar stone, presents a Romanesque style, whitewashed, with 42 double arches and glasses on the upper part. Arcos da Lapa are considered the largest architectural work undertaken in Brazil during the colonial period. Around it are two of the most important venues in the city: Fundição Progresso and Circo Voador.
