Where the RICH & FAMOUS go on vacation in Brazil ????????

This place was just what we needed after a stressful month in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Buzios is still in the state of Rio de Janeiro. But compared to the city, it is a quite and posh beach town. Apparently this is where the rich and famous go on a vacation. You can see fancy restaurants and luxurious villas all around this town.
One day from Buzios, we took a boat tour to Arrial do Cabo, the Caribbean of Brazil. Unfortunately we hit bad luck again. Despite everything, we love Buzios and Arrial do Cabo. It is the most beautiful and our favorite part of Rio de Janeiro. Check out our Brazil travel vlog.

Street Food in Brazil - Rio de Janeiro! #Brazil #RioDeJaneiro #BrazilianFood #streetfood

Ever since I first learned about the city of Rio de Janeiro when I was a kid growing up, I have wanted to visit. Finally, the time has come. In this Brazilian street food tour in Rio de Janeiro, we’ll go to eat some of the best street food snacks and dishes, some hole in the wall style Brazilian food restaurants, and also visit some of the most unbelievable and gorgeous sights and attractions in Rio de Janeiro. It’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited.

Here’s the Brazilian food and things we did:

Mineiro, Sausage Sandwich - 5 BRL ($1.26) - For Brazilian breakfast we headed to Mineiro for his neighborhood grilled sausage sandwich, topped with his house made aioli dressing, cheese, and lettuce, and his own home-made chili sauce. He’s not only an amazing guy, but his sausage sandwich is outstanding. When you’re in Rio de Janeiro, you don’t want to miss it. Located just outside Siqueira Campos MRT Metro station (Map: sets up in the morning about 7 am.

Trem do Corcovado - 65 BRL ($16.44) - Christ the Redeemer - I pre-bought tickets online for the tram, so when we arrived we just picked up and printed the tickets. The tram took about 20 minutes and Christ The Redeemer at the top was breathtaking.

Selaron Steps - Another attraction in Rio de Janeiro that I wasn’t going to miss was the Selaron Steps, created by Chilean artist Selaron. They are so cool and so iconic.

Lunch at Bar Rex - For some seriously meaty Brazilian food, Bar Rex is the spot. They serve an major selection of drinks, but they also specialize in food like roasted chicken, sausages, and the oxtail. The food was outstanding, and the owners are just so cool. Location:

Ipanema Beach - World famous, one of the most well known beaches in the world, and for a good reason - the scenery is spectacular. We had a tea with Marcelo (5 BRL ($1.26) and then tried some of the Brazilian local favorite comfort Biscoito Globo cassava snacks. Finally, another iconic Brazilian drink is the caipirinha (15 BRL ($3.79) made on the beach.

Copacabana Beach - Next up on this Brazilian street food and attractions tour we stopped at the famous Copacabana Beach and had a coconut (6.50 BRL ($1.64) and continued on the Red Beach in Urca to get a good view of Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar).

Bar Urca - Also in Urca, you’ll find Bar Urca, an old food and bar establishment that’s famous for serving empada de camarão (6.50 BRL ($1.64), shrimp filled pastries. Many people order and then sit on the edge of the water in the evening. Location:

Bar Gato de Botas - A Brazilian boteco is a bar and restaurant that serves small plates of food similar to tapas. The owner of Bar Gato de Botas is a legend and his plates of Brazilian food are delicious. Location:

Brazilian meat kebabs - Finally to end this incredible street food tour of Rio de Janeiro, we returned back to the same spot where we had breakfast, but in the evening, a different yet equally friendly man sets up selling Brazilian meat kebas and home cooked Brazilian food. When you order a kebab, you can get it stopped with cassava powder and drenched in hot sauce - it was so good. Location: Sets up in the evening about 6 pm.

Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city and this Brazilian street food tour and attraction in Rio was amazing - the food, the people, the scenery.

TO VISIT IN SAO PAULO , BRAZIL - travel guide

The largest city in South America, São Paulo sits on the Piratininga plateau and is surrounded by rivers that fan out into the interior. Almost from its founding in 1554, São Paulo became the gateway to the sertão (Brazil's backcountry), and explorers known as bandeirantes made expeditions from the city into this region. Today's main highways to interior cities still follow the routes of the bandeirantes.

number 10. Sao Paulo Cathedral
This is the largest church in the city (but not the state) of Sao Paulo, and can seat 8,000 people. It is a large-domed 20th century cathedral of the neo-gothic style, and was constructed using over 800 tons of marble

number 9. Museu do Futebol
The ultimate museum for football (soccer) fans, the Museu do Futebol offers both traditional exhibits as well as video and interactive displays. From information on famous players and famous games to basic instruction on how the game is played, the museum has things for people at every level of fandom, and even those considering becoming fans.

number 8. Mercado Municipal de Sao Paulo
This market building sits along the Tamanduateí river, and is a beautiful domed art deco building with seventy two stained glass windows created by the same Russian glass artist who created the Sao Paulo Cathedral.

number 7. Liberdade District
Liberdade is considered to be São Paulo’s Japanese district, although nowadays more Chinese and Koreans inhabit this area, with many of the ethnic Japanese having moved to more upscale areas. The entrance is found by a large, red arch that is used in ancient Japanese architecture to mark the entrance to Shinto temples. A weekly fair takes place in the main square here where traditional Asian and Asian-inspired crafts can be sold on the street.

number 6. Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo
Home of the finest European Art collection in South America and possibly the Southern Hemisphere, the MASP is a must-see for any art lover traveling to Sao Paulo. The artistic experience begins before entrance, as the unique architectural design created by Assis Chateaubriand is a work in itself.

number 5. Theatro Municipal
This ornate, gilded architectural wonder was created to showcase the importance of Sao Paulo on the international arts scene. Designed after the Palais Garnier in Paris, the Theatro Municipal made its world debut in 1922 as an important arts showcase when it hosted the year of modern art.

number 4. Museu da Lingua Portuguesa
The goal of this museum is to create an interactive experience with the Portuguese language that is fun and educational for both those new to the language as well as lifelong native speakers. Much of the presentation focuses on the history of the language, proto languages, and the various backgrounds and cultures who speak the Portuguese language.

number 3. Avenida Paulista
The 2.8 km (1.7 miles) long Paulista Avenue was originally a residential street filled with large, ornate mansions belonging to coffee barons. Many of these were torn down in the 1950’s, and replaced with large, multi-story buildings. It remains a center of luxury and business, and is much like Park Avenue Meets Wall Street in New York City.

number 2. Pinacoteca do Estado
Considered to be one of the most important art museums in Brazil, the Pinacoteca is home to the oldest art museum in São Paulo. The museum is one of the world’s best examples of Brazilian art, and houses many of the most important nineteenth century Brazilian pieces, as well as some modern displays as well.

number 1. Ibirapuera Park
Sampa’s answer to Central Park, Ibirapuera Park serves as a major recreational site and is one of the main tourist attractions in Sao Paulo. It has paths for walking and jogging, bikeways, woods, lakes, sport courts and areas for relaxation that attract city residents of all ages.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Food in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro! #RiodeJaneiro #BrazilianFood #favela

Favela - An unregulated, informal neighborhood in Brazil. There are estimates of as many as 1,000 favelas in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Many of the favelas in Rio de Janeiro are full cities within themselves, where nearly everything is available.

It’s without a doubt that a lot of crime and organized underground criminal activity happens and is controlled in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. However, favelas across Brazil are home to some of the most hard working, friendly, happy, and creative people in Brazil as well. So in this video my goal was to meet and to highlight some of the amazing people that call favelas home.

Rocinha - The first favela we visited was Rocinha, the biggest favela in Rio, one of the biggest in Brazil. We met up with Guilherme who took us on a walking tour to some viewpoints and to some Brazilian food places.

Sabor da Roça - The most well known little snack shop on this street in Rocinha, we stopped for a coxinha, one of the top Brazilian food snacks. It was packed with chicken and with some hot sauce it was amazing.
Price - 2.5 BRL ($0.63)

For lunch we stopped at an alleyway restaurant in Rocinha, where he cooked up a lunch set included beef ribs, cassava, pasta, rice, and beans. It was simple, but delicious and hearty.
Price - 10 BRL ($2.52)

Morro da Providência - Favela number two is one of the first favelas of Rio and located in downtown Rio de Janeiro, near the port and up on a hill on the side of the cliff. We met up with Jura, who is an absolute Brazilian food cooking legend and an amazing person.

One of Jura’s most famous dishes is nhoque de camarão, an Italian but Brazilian potato noodles in Jura’s own creation sauce of shrimp and coconut milk. It was simply outstanding, all made from scratch.

But the dish I was most interested in eating and which Jura expertly cooked, again from scratch was her feijoada - often considered the national dish of Brazil, and one of my personal favorite foods of Brazil as well - there are few dishes of the world more comforting than beans and pig parts with rice. When you’re in Brazil, you can eat feijoada at many restaurants, but home-cooked is by far the best.

Thank you Jura and Elena!!

This was one of the best days I had in Brazil in terms of learning, meeting people, and food, and it’s an experience and memories I’ll never forget.

You hear a lot of the negative that comes out of favelas in Brazil, and it is true. However, the positive side and the amazing people, are not often recognized, and it was truly memorable to see and learn about this side of hope in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Top Tourist Attractions in Brazil ???????? | Brazil Travel Guide

Brazil, the largest nation in South America, takes up nearly the entire continent. It is largely tropical, located almost entirely in the Southern Hemisphere, and features enormous swaths of rainforest teeming with unusual plants and animals.

The 7,400-kilometer Atlantic coast of Brazil is dotted with beaches with golden sand, and its interior is rich in mineral resources. The churches of Portugal, the colonial force that controlled Brazil until 1822, are still lined with gold taken from Brazilian miners. The colonial architecture, decorative arts, such as the glazed tiles in churches and convents, and the language of Brazil all display the strong influence of Portugal.

Brazil is a popular tourist destination that offers visitors a tropical paradise as well as an interesting cultural experience with activities to suit every taste, from peaceful beach vacations and rainforest expeditions to top-notch art museums and the pulsing rhythms of Rio's Carnival.

Use this helpful list of the top tourist destinations in Brazil to find the best places to go and things to do.

Salvador- tourist attractions guide [The sights of Salvador will AMAZE visitors] #salvador

Visiting Salvador Brazil? The Brazilian city of Salvador is one of the best cities to visit in Brazil. There's plenty to see and do in Salvador, making it one of the great cities for tourists in South America.

The most recognizable of all Salvador tourist attractions would be both the Lacerda Elevator, which transports people between the lower and upper towns, and the historic center of Salvador.

Also known as the Pelourinho, the historic center of Salvador is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most famous part of Salvador having been the first colonial capital in Brazil. Its colorful houses, shops and numerous religious buildings of note are a just some of the sights tourists will take in here.

Most of the main sights of Salvador are within easy walking distance of each other so the city is relatively easy to get around on foot to enjoy.

Beautiful places to go in Salvador include Port da Barra beach and surrounds which are another great sight-seeing point-of-interest. Tourists can walk the numerous beaches in the area or take in a number of old fortifications that dot the coast-line - they stretch for miles with the Morre do Cristo and its statue of Jesus marking one of the Southern points of the city.

When in Salvador you should definitely visit the Mercado Modelo, the market has a wonderful history, although ravaged by fire on numerous occasions the current market houses an amazing array of craft and artisan shops - it also lies right next to the ocean and popular tourist area in the city.

Amazing views in Salvador include Rio Branco Palace and the striking Cruz Caida which offers some of the very best views of the city and surf below! the fallen cross monument or sculpture marking the place where a prominent Cathedral once stood.

And all of that is leaving out the plethora of notable churches and cathedrals that exist within the city - a couple of note being the Basilica do Senhor do Bonfim and the Sao Francisco Church and Convent, alongside a number of highly reviewed museums.

Salvador is surely one of the gems of Brazil. Salvador is a great city in a wonderful location that'll keep you interested and engaged throughout your time there- thank you for watching the Great City Attractions of Salvador!

Ouro Preto, Mariana, Mina da Passagem - Minas Gerais, Brazil | travel guide

Ouro Preto and Mariana are cities in the Minas Gerais state in Brazil, near to which were big discoveries of gold. In both cities are located numerous churches with stunning golden decorations. In the mines around those cities, so much gold was mined, that in the 18th century they were one of the biggest gold producers to Portuguese kingdom. Nowadays this past wealth is reminded by rich decorations inside numerous churches of Ouro Preto and Mariana and by the Mina da Passagem, which is the biggest gold mine opened for tourists in the world. Ouro Preto with its pleasant atmosphere is a right city to learn something more about Brazilian history and to relax over a local meal or cachaca.

MY FAVORITE IPANEMA BEACH SPOT: Posto 9 is the most interesting and trendy part of Ipanema. It is where the fashionistas, celebrities, gays, tourists and classic Cariocas all come together.

When visitors to Rio ask me what I recommend, the reply is always the same… go to the Beach. Ipanema beach might not have the calmest waters nor the most turquoise, but it is by far the most incredible beach I have ever been to. It is tantalizing to the senses! All you have to do is show up and the magical world of Rio will come to you. The best part is it all unfolds in a very relaxed fashion. You won’t find insistent vendors or pushy people here. The beautiful bodies, happy grandmas, sexy couples, futebol, volleyball and paddleball games, live samba music, colorful bikinis for sale, hot beach snacks, ice cold drinks, handmade toys, fragrant sunscreen and oils, will all walk by. Your options are simple: either give the thumbs up sign (meaning thank you but no) or the ‘psiu’ sound indicating that you want to participate. So here is your little instruction guide to a happy day at the beach.

A Carioca (Rio de Janeiro native) arrives at the beach early and stays all day, sometimes up to 10 hours in the summer. Look for a wet path from the sidewalk to a beach stand, this means the sand will be cooler to walk on and the owner of the beach stand ‘barraca’ is thoughtful and hopefully more honest. Walk up to the stand that feels good and rent a chair and an umbrella, which rents by the day and not the hour. Everything on the beach costs about 5-6 Reais, except a Caipirinha and an umbrella which are about 10-15 Reais. You might pay per round; however, most often the barraca keeps a tally which you pay for at the end of the day. From then on you can either order drinks from your chair or go up for prompter service if the service boys are busy flirting. Locals say the ideal time to be directly in the sun is before 11am and after 3pm. In between is excellent for long chats under the umbrella ‘guarda-sol’ or a small snooze after the morning round of ice cold beers.

A MUST: Order a Matte (iced tea with lemonade) and a bag of Globo crackers (Green is salty, Red is sweet). This is the ultimate classic Carioca tradition. The Matte vendors will be wearing orange outfits and have a large metal barrel under each arm, one with tea and one with lemonade. You choose how much of each one you would like. If you have good energy ‘boa energia’, the vendor might offer you a complimentary top up ‘chorinho’ which literally translates to a little cry. But be careful. According to Brazilians, if lime gets on your skin whilst in the sunshine, it will stain. So best to put a little lemonade in first and then fill up with tea. Remember when Brazilians feel good around you, it is their pleasure to share all that they have.

Tips for Grooming & Tanning: The average Brazilian swears that it isn’t their natural skin tone that lends itself so well to tanning. The secret to that golden tan is keeping wet the entire time on the beach. This involves the effortless and graceful dunking in between the massive waves and strong undertow or the much easier frequent runs to the salt water beach showers. You can also expedite the process by drinking carrot/beet juice daily from a ‘suco’ stand and applying layers of carrot ‘cenoura’ or urucum oil while at the beach (which you can find sold in small brown bottles alongside the sunscreen). A Brazilian woman will also bring to the beach a comb and a bottle of conditioner. She will give her hair a hydrating treatment while enjoying her ice cold beverage and catching up on that week’s gossip.
