We explore Aceredo - finally back in SPAIN (Van Life Europe) ????????
After more than 5 weeks in Portugal it was finally time to move further north. We were hoping to travel all along the Spanish northern coast and see a bit of the Galicia region, but an approaching cold front made us amend our plans rather hastily. We opted to fast-track our trip and stay south of the mountains in the hope of avoiding the worst cold and rain.
We heard that water shortage in northern Spain during spring has caused the Alto Lindoso reservoir to start drying up which was revealing an ancient village that was flooded during the making of the dam. Aceredo is known as The sunken village and has become a sort-of pop-up tourist attraction. For the first time in over 40 years it's streets are walkable again. The ruins of Aceredo village include partially destroyed buildings and lots of loose debris. There are signs of life that once occupied the village, including an old cafe, a drinking fountain that is still spewing water, and a rusty car.
Just a few minutes further up the road we stopped overnight at Porto Quintela's motorhome parking which is located next to a reservoir with beautiful beaches and ancient roman ruins. Even better was the nearby ancient Roman hot springs - Roman Caldaria of Bande - popular for bathing in warm, mineral-rich water.
A long days drive later we found ourselves in Valencia De Don Juan, a delightful little town with a stunning castle - Castillo de Valencia de Don Juan

За 6 дней в Барселоне изучил каждый камушек в городе. Думаю, что смог составить правильное мнение об столице Каталонии.
В ролике выскажу свое мнение и покажу: дома Гауди, парк Гуэля, Саграда Фамилия, холм Монжуик и Тибидабо, бункер Эль Кармель, Готический Квартал, площадь Испании, Каталонии и Королевскую, море, Триумфальную арку, сгоняю на гору Монсерат и еще много других достопримечательностей увидишь прямо сейчас, если нажмешь play!
Вся нужная информация про Барселону 2020 (поменялась цена билетов, некоторые места и фуникулеры на реставрации).
Барселона настолько богата на туристические места, что материала у меня хватило бы и на 1,5 часа! Здесь есть что посмотреть и о чем подумать. Ведь кроме внешнего лоска Барселоны здесь есть и свои проблемы...

Distrito de Setúbal é um distrito do Alentejo. Limitado a norte com os distritos de Lisboa e Santarém, a leste com os distritos de Évora e a sul com de Beja,a oeste com o Oceano Atlântico.
O distrito de Setúbal integra 13 municípios:
Alcácer do Sal, Alcochete, Almada, Barreiro, Grândola,
Moita, Montijo, Palmela, Santiago do Cacém, Seixal,
Sesimbra, Setúbal, Sines.
A capital do distrito é Setúbal.
Setúbal District is a district of the Alentejo. Bordered to the north with the districts of Lisbon and Santarém in the east with the districts of Évora and the south with the Beja in the west to the Atlantic Ocean.

We're Chesca and Ben and River (???? ) and we usually live full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. After a year of travelling Europe, from Spain and Portugal to the island of Sicily, the pandemic brought us back home to the UK. Along with a secret project! We spent the winter re-building Sophia into a more sturdy overlanding rig, ready to take us across Africa - our next challenge. However, it's a trip we've now had to postpone. But when the wind changes - adjust your sails! We're now off on an Eastern voyage across to Greece, Turkey & beyond. I hope you enjoy this new adventure as we overland our way East.
