SOLD!!! Restored house in a historic town for sale, Piedmont, Italy
SOLD!!! The house was restored in 2008 but never lived in. There are some finishing works needed and due to not being lived or heated for so many years the house needs some re-working, but nothing serious.
The ground floor has a small living room, kitchen, bathroom and an ancient wine cellar with a water well. A stone staircase leads to the next level that has an area that could be used as a study, there's a large bedroom with an open fireplace and an en-suite bathroom. From this room is access to the front balcony that offers beautiful views. Another doorway leads to the terrace which has a spectacular view of the nearby castle. It's every bit as impressive as the photos show.

ON THE TOP OF THE VITTORIALE THERE IS THE MAUSOLEUM OF D’ANNUNZIO. THE MONUMENT REPRESENTS THE VICTORIES OF THE HUMBLE, THE SAPPERS AND THE HEROES. IN THE CENTER THERE IS THE GRAVE OF D’ANNUNZIO, AROUND IT TEN OF THE HEROES AND LEGIONARIES OF FIUME WHO WERE DEAR TO THE POET.
THE PUGLIA MILITARY SHIP IS LOCATED IN THE PARK. IT’S MAYBE THE MOST EVOCATIVE RELIC OF THE VITTORIALE. IT WAS GIVEN TO D'ANNUNZIO BY THE ITALIAN NAVY IN 1923. INSIDE THERE’S THE MUSEUM THAT COLLECTS SOME PRECIOUS VINTAGE MODELS OF MILITARY SHIPS FROM THE COLLECTION OF AMEDEO DI SAVOIA. THE BOW POINTS TOWARDS THE ADRIATIC SEA AND DALMATIA, TO REMEMBER THE OCCUPATION OF THE CITY OF FIUME.

IN THE RELICS ROOM YOU CAN SEE AN ALTAR WITH A STEERING WHEEL. AN ENGLISH FRIEND OF HIM DIED DURING A SPEEDBOAT RACE, HE BROKE HIS CHEST AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL. THE DOOR WAS BUILT LITTLE TO FORCE THE GUESTS TO BEND DOWN BEFORE THE PLACE WHERE ART IS CREATED, WHILE THE DINING ROOM, CALLED CHELI'S ROOM, IT’S NAMED AFTER THE TORTOISE THAT LIVED IN THE GARDENS OF THE VITTORIALE DEGLI ITALIANI FOR 5 YEARS, BEFORE IT DIED OF AN INDIGèSTION.
ON THE TOP OF THE VITTORIALE THERE IS THE MAUSOLEUM OF D’ANNUNZIO. THE MONUMENT REPRESENTS THE VICTORIES OF THE HUMBLE, THE SAPPERS AND THE HEROES. IN THE CENTER THERE IS THE GRAVE OF D’ANNUNZIO, AROUND IT TEN OF THE HEROES AND LEGIONARIES OF FIUME WHO WERE DEAR TO THE POET.
THE PUGLIA MILITARY SHIP IS LOCATED IN THE PARK. IT’S MAYBE THE MOST EVOCATIVE RELIC OF THE VITTORIALE. IT WAS GIVEN TO D'ANNUNZIO BY THE ITALIAN NAVY IN 1923. INSIDE THERE’S THE MUSEUM THAT COLLECTS SOME PRECIOUS VINTAGE MODELS OF MILITARY SHIPS FROM THE COLLECTION OF AMEDEO DI SAVOIA. THE BOW POINTS TOWARDS THE ADRIATIC SEA AND DALMATIA, TO REMEMBER THE OCCUPATION OF THE CITY OF FIUME.

VILLA ALBA WAS THE FIRST CONVENTION HALL ON LAKE GARDA. IT HOSTED EXHIBITS, EVENTS AND ART EXPOSITIONS, AND DURING THE YEARS HAS BECOME THE EQUIVALENT OF MEETINGS AND CULTURE.

Il Parco regionale della Valle del Curone è un'area naturale protetta della Lombardia situata nella Brianza in provincia di Lecco.
Per chi è nelle vicinanze parliamo di escursioni di prossimità , un luogo particolarmente adatto alle famiglie con bambini per un picnic.
Siamo al centro del parco, Cà Soldato è un Cascinale ristrutturato che ospita un museo aperto di solito nel fine settimana , è anche la sede del gruppo di guardie ecologiche volontarie che spesso si incontrano nel parco .
La zona è attrezzata esternamente con tavoli e panchine dove è possibile fermarsi per una pausa o per consumare il proprio pasto , troverete un lavabo in pietra con rubinetto acqua per riempire le borracce e un barbeque grandissimo dove cuocere.
Il posto merita di essere visitato .

Alpe del Viceré is a plateau on Mount Bolettone located in the municipality of Erba (province of Como), at an altitude of 903 m a.s.l. and from there, through a not too difficult walk along one of the various paths, you can enjoy a nice view of Lake Como. History:
The earliest reference to Alpe del Viceré traced by Luigi M. Gaffuri in the Albavilla archives. Initially known as Alpe di Villa, it was used by the community with specific regulations for grazing, haymaking and wood production. The plateau was also called Prato degli Angioli. [2] The building commissioned by Eugenio di Beauharnais was transformed at the beginning of the twentieth century into the Albergo La Salute.
The barracks (18 in total) are small buildings distributed in small groups, consisting of three factory wings that enclosed a small courtyard tiled with red tiles; they are all the same, they have a mezzanine floor with a short access ladder. The main building of the village was the mother house, with the common services, such as the canteen, the kitchen, the pantries and the toilets.
Alpe del Vicerè today:
In the area of the Alpine village once occupied by the church, there is now the structure that is used as a summer camp in the summer months. It now also provides many barbeque and grill spots and many sport activities.
Escursions:
Leaving the car in the large car park at the entrance to Alpe del Viceré, it is possible to undertake numerous excursions of easy and medium difficulty. Going up to the left immediately after the parking lot, you will reach the top of Mount Bollettone from which you can continue towards Pizzo dell'Asino or Mount Palanzone. Alternatively, after leaving the car park, continue straight until you reach the Cacciatori refuge. From there starts a road that with a slight slope leads to the Mara hut and Mount Puscio. This last easy and well-maintained route is particularly suitable for families. [3]
More About Albavilla Municipality:
Eugenio di Beauharnais, stepson of Napoleon Bonaparte and named Viceroy of Italy by him, loved to stay at his summer residence on the shores of Lake Pusiano, the current Palazzo Carpani-Beauharnais. Principe had bought the large plateau that extends over the buttresses of Monte Bolettone - today called Alpe del Vicerè - to have a large building built for the summer stay of his famous and precious horses. Later, after alternating events, the area became the property of Count Turati (Alpe Turati) and later became a pasture for the charge of seasonal grazing, while the structure was transformed into a hotel for vacationers (Albergo la Salute).
The whole area has an exceptional paleontological feat, due to the outcrop of a rocky succession of the lower Jurassic age (180 - 200 million years ago), characterized by a considerable wealth of Ammonites (marine fossil cephalopod molluscs). paleontological, this area is also peculiar for its karst morphology: the calcareous rocks of the substrate are in fact affected by karst phenomena, determined by the corrosive action of rainwater made aggressive by the presence of dissolved carbon dioxide, with the formation of cavities , caves and chasms. The Alpe del Vicerè - Buco del Piombo complex is one of the most interesting from a speleological point of view in the whole of Lombardy. Today the municipality of Albavilla, after a patient recovery of the company, has equipped the area with some recreational facilities for hikers who in the summer go in search of a few hours of relaxation in contact with nature, transforming it into a small park that and has parking, stone barbecue, wooden tables and benches; the nearby presence of typical restaurants and alpine refuges, satisfies the expectations of the most demanding and trekking enthusiasts. (97) Monte Boletto (1235m) da Brunate (CO)
STAGIONE 6
DIFFICOLTA': ABBASTANZA FACILE: il percorso può dividersi in 3 tratti: il primo - dalla stazione superiore della funicolare di Brunate al Faro Voltiano - è piuttosto ripido; il secondo - dal Piazzale del Faro al Rifugio Boletto - è un lungo falsopiano che non presenta particolari difficoltà, mentre il terzo - il sentiero che porta in vetta - è impegnativo ma finisce subito.
DISLIVELLO: Dislivello di salita: 520 m
LIVELLO DI DIFFICOLTA' CAI: E (Escursionista): il tratto che porta dalla stazione superiore della funicolare al Faro, caratterizzato da due ripide scalinate, può trarre in inganno: una volta superate queste, il percorso proseguirà infatti dolcemente fino al rifugio Boletto e solo superato questo tornerà ad essere impegnativo (ma solo per il breve tratto che porta in cima al monte)
LUNGHEZZA: 1h 35 minuti circa a passo turistico (tempo misurato solo per la salita)
PANORAMA: il panorama dal Monte Boletto è molto ampio ma l'escursione merita sopratutto perché permette di visitare la bellissima Brunate.
ACCESSO: si arriva a Como e si parcheggia in uno dei tanti parcheggi a pagamento; calcolate che sono tutti piuttosto lontani dal lungolago, di conseguenza dovrete camminare un po' per raggiungere la stazione inferiore della funicolare.
DESCRIZIONE: prendiamo la funicolare e saliamo fino a Brunate (715m); dalla stazione di arrivo, proseguiamo in salita a tratti ripida - finché non arriviamo al piazzale del Faro Voltiano (878m) dove, invece che girare a sinistra per raggiungerlo, deviamo a destra per Via alle Colme, dove di fatto inizia il sentiero delle Baite; il percorso risale senza difficoltà fino ad un tratto in leggera discesa dove incrociamo la Capanna CAO; proprio dietro questa costruzione prosegue la nostra escursione; in falsopiano - sempre su stradina - raggiungiamo la Baita Carla, la Baita Bondella ed infine il Rifugio Baita Boletto; da qui la strada si impenna per terminare poco dopo; arrivati alla bocchetta del Boletto troviamo a destra le indicazioni per raggiungere la vetta del monte; le tempistiche di 20 minuti sono esagerate: in poco più di 10 minuti arriviamo in cima, dove ci attende un cartello indicatore e un bel panorama. Al ritorno vale la pena fermarsi ad ammirare il Faro Voltiano e, se aperto, visitarlo.
NOTA: il biglietto andata e ritorno per la funicolare di Brunate vi costerà 5.70 € a persona; l'accesso al faro Voltiano 2 € (1 € per i bambini)
NOTA 2: Costruito nel 1927 su progetto dell’ingegnere Gabriele Giussani nella località San Maurizio a Brunate, il Faro voltiano è un regalo di Como al genio del suo cittadino Alessandro Volta, a 100 anni dalla sua morte. Il Faro, a pianta ottagonale, è una torre di 29 metri di altezza che domina tutta la vallata sottostante. Di notte il Faro illumina Como e dintorni con fasci di luce bianca, rossa e verde.
