Wonderful Hostal Chanely - Boca De Camarioca Cuba
My family and I discovered this beautiful Hostal in Boca de Carmarioca. We stayed here for 10 days last summer. Enrique and his wife Anelis occupy the apartment downstairs and were always available to help us organize activities. Anelis is a fantastic cook and we dined often at the Hostal. The rooms are spotless clean and very comfortable. Enrique and Anelis are seasoned hosts and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Boca is only 15 minutes from the airport, the Saturno Caves and Coral Beach (out of this world snorkeling)
If the big 'all inclusive' resorts aren't your thing and you're looking for an authentic cuba experience in proximity to Varadero and Havana, Hostal Chanely is the perfect choice.

Ma famille et moi avons découvert ce magnifique Hostal à Boca de Carmarioca. Nous avons séjourné ici pendant 10 jours l'été dernier. Enrique et sa femme Anelis occupent l'appartement du rez-de-chaussée et étaient toujours disponibles pour nous aider à organiser des activités. Anelis est un cuisinier fantastique et nous avons souvent dîné à l'Hostal. Les chambres sont impeccables et très confortables. Enrique et Anelis sont des hôtes chevronnés et se sont mis en quatre pour rendre notre séjour mémorable. Boca est à seulement 15 minutes de l'aéroport, des grottes de Saturno et de la plage de corail (snorkeling hors de ce monde)
Si les grands hotels `` tout compris '' ne vous conviennent pas et que vous recherchez une expérience authentique de Cuba à proximité de Varadero et de La Havane, l'Hostal Chanely est le choix parfait.

Touring the city of Matanzas, the Artist's studio, the French Pharmacy and the Bellamar Caves.
Cuba's sculptor Lolo or Osmany Betancourt Falcón is one of Cuba's flourishing artists.He is a local to Matanzas and his studio can be found on Calle 97 known as Narvaez facing onto the San Juan river.
The French Colonial pharmacy, formerly known as Botica La Francesa, was founded by Dr Ernesto Triolet and his wife Dolores in 1882 and stands unchanged today in the city of Matanzas, Cuba. It was operational until 1964 when it was transformed into The Museo Farmaceutico.
The Bellamar Caves were discovered by accident. On February 1861, an Asian slave named Justo Wong, while extracting big rocks from a local quarry, dropped his tool sliding off his hand into a soil hole.The farm owner, the Spanish Don Manuel Santos Pargas, ordered to investigate the case; but nobody did anything for fears and superstitions. Two month later, Don Manuel himself went to the place with a crew and personally digs a hole, big enough for a person to fit in, where the tool disappeared. He was the first man to see one of the most beautiful creations of nature.

White Sharks of Guadalupe Island, Mexico - Sept. & Oct. 2010
Compilation video of the best moments of my trips to Guadalupe Island, Mexico, in 2010, to film Great White Sharks. Although they are very curious, you can see they always maintain about a 6-10ft distance...and yes, that is a mother and baby common dolphin at the 1:20 mark that decided to share breakfast with me.
Footage was shot using a SeaLife DC 1000 with a digital strobe and backscatter diffuser.
