About Jaipur-Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. At the center of its stately street grid (notable in India) stands the opulent, colonnaded City Palace complex. With gardens, courtyards and museums, part of it is still a royal residence.

Jaipur rises up majestically against the backdrop of the forts Nahargarh, Jaigarh and Garh Ganesh Temple. The bustling modern city is one of the three corners of the golden triangle that includes Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

Jaigarh Fort Jaipur History(in Hindi) इंदिरा गाँधी का जयगढ़ खज़ाने से क्या संबंध था? जयगढ़ का रहस्य!

This Jaigarh Fort vlog is based on my visit to Jaigarh Fort(जयगढ़ का किला) in Jaipur and in this video(जयगढ़ किला का वीडियो) I will be telling you about Jaigarh Fort Jaipur History in Hindi and will give you complete Jaigarh Fort tour. Not only we will talk about Jaigarh Fort history(जयगढ़ फोर्ट का इतिहास), but also about Jaigarh Fort treasure(जयगढ़ का खजाना) which is also referred to as Jaigarh Fort Jaipur treasure. Because of search operations for the Jaigarh Fort khajana(जयगढ़ का किला जयपुर) during the Emergency in 1976, till now people search for terms like Jaigarh Fort Gold Indira Gandhi, Jaigarh Fort Jaipur Indira Gandhi and Jaigarh Fort Indira Gandhi.

There are a lot of mysteries associated with Jaigarh Fort(जयगढ़ किले का रहस्य), some being with this treasure of Jaigarh ka Kila(जयगढ़ किला/जयगढ़ फोर्ट) and some with the Jaivan Cannon(जयगढ़ की टॉप/जयगढ़ की तोप) here, which is known to be worlds biggest cannon(Jaigarh ki top/Jaigarh Fort tope) of its times. Mirza Raja Man Singh started construction of Jaigarh Durg(जयगढ़ दुर्ग जयपुर) in 16th century and this fort(जयगढ़ किला जयपुर राजस्थान) was finally completed by Sawai Jai Singh(जयगढ़ दुर्ग का निर्माण किसने करवाया) in the 1726. Not only Jaigarh Kila Jaipur is known for its history, but also for Jaigarh Fort movie shooting. So, a lot of movies like Lal Badshah, Humraz, and TV Serial Tipu Sultan was also shot here. For you, this video will act as a Jaigarh Fort guide in Hindi. Although people search for Jaigarh Fort telugu, english, kannada, malayalam, bengali etc but I am well versed with hindi thats why I have made this video in hindi.

Jaigarh Fort is located on the hill known as Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) in the Aravalli range; it overlooks the Amber Palace (better known as Amer Fort) as well as the Maota Lake, near Amer town in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The fort was completed by Sawai Jai Singh in the year 1726 for protecting Amer Fort as well as its palace complex and this this fort was named after him.

The fort bears resemblance to Amer Fort in structural design and is also called Victory Fort. It is spread across a length of 3 km. Jaigarh Fort was known to be centre of artillery production for the Kachhwaha Rajputs. The fort has a cannon called Jaivana (Jaivan Cannon) which was manufactured in 1720 by Sawai Jai Singh II in the cannon foundary of this fort and was then known as the world's largest cannon on wheels. Jaigarh Fort and Amer Fort are also connected by subterranean passages and hence they are considered as one complex. The Jaigarh Fort, situated is built about 400 m above the Amer Fort and it gives an excellent of view of Aravalli hills as well as the Amer Fort down below.

It is located about 10 km away from Jaipur city. It can be reached by taking a short diversion from the Jaipur-Delhi Highway, which leads to the Dungar Darwaza ('Darwaza' means gate), and the same road leads to yet another important fort known as Nahargarh Fort. One can also reach at Jaigarh Fort from the Amer Fort by taking a short climb along a steep hill track, and arrive at the Awami Gate situated near the Jaigarh fort museum.

During Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's reign, Jaigarh Fort, which is situated 150 miles south-west of Delhi, became one of the most efficient cannon foundries of the world because of the abundance of iron ore mines in close to the fort.

The water supply facilities within the fort premises was met by using water harvesting structures in close to the Aravalli catchment and passing water through a canal on the fort's west side over a distance of 4 km to be stored in three separate underground tanks located right below the central courtyard. The largest tank is known to have a capacity of 6 million(60 Lakh) gallons of water. A treasure that is believed to be of the Kachwaha rulers of Amer had also been stacked in this water tanks. The search operation was ordered during the Emergency declared by the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi during 1975–1977. However, the search operation that was carried out for treasures by an Indian Army unit at Jaigarh Fort, after 3 months search had found only 230 kg of Silver.

The armoury chamber at this fort displays various swords, shields, guns, muskets and also the 50 kg cannonball of Jaivan Cannon. Gallers has old photographs of Jaipur's Maharajas Sawai Bhawani Singh and Major General Man Singh II who served in the Indian Army as senior officers.

Ajaygarh Fort | Cinematic Madhya Pradesh | Unexplored India | Our Lost Heritage

#ajaygarhfort #lostheritage #bundelkhand #madhyapradesh #incredibleindia
This video is about our excursion to Ajaygarh, Fort or Ajaypal fort located in Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh & about 60kms from World heritage site Khajuraho, It stands on Vindhya ranges of Panna district. This unknown magnificent fort is noted for its rich historical past and architectural beauty, which speaks volumes about the Chandela dynasty.

There is plenty to explore in the fort, which makes it a treat for history lovers.
We climbed 500 steep steps to reach the fort entrance. There are no signboards, maps, info sources, human habitation at the top. It is not a well-developed place so one needs to carry water and food.

Memories of a princely life: In the Ajaygarh fort

Viewing from the Ajaigarh Fort In Madhya Pradesh, beautiful lakes and ruins adorn the circumference of the great fort, which has now been taken over by the Oberoi Group and is planned to be turned into a Tiger Resort.

Ajaigarh was the capital of a princely state of the same name during the British Raj. Ajaigarh was founded in 1765 by Guman Singh, a bundela Rajput who was the nephew of Raja Pahar Singh of Jaitpur. After Ajaigarh was captured by the British in 1809, it became a princely state in the Bundelkhand Agency of the Central India Agency. It had an area of 771 mile² (1997 km²), and a population of 78,236 in 1901. The rulers bore the title of sawai maharaja. He commanded an estimated annual revenue of about £15,000/-, and paid a tribute of £460/-. The chief resided at the town of Nowgong[disambiguation needed], at the foot of the hill-fortress of Ajaigarh, from which the state took its name. This fort, situated on a steep hill, towers more than 800 ft (244 m) above the eponymous township, and contains the ruins of several temples adorned with elaborately carved sculptures. The town was often afflicted by malaria, and suffered severely from famine in 1868-1869 and 1896-1897.

The state acceded to the Government of India on January 1, 1950; the ruling chief was granted a privy purse of Rs. 74,700/-, and the courtesy use of his styles and titles. All of these were revoked by the government of India in 1971, at the time when these privileges were revoked from all erstwhile princes. The former princely state became part of the new Indian state of Vindhya Pradesh, and most of the territory of the former state, including the town of Ajaigarh, became part of Panna District, with a smaller portion going to Chhatarpur District. Vindhya Pradesh was merged into Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 1956.

Follow me on Instagram & Facebook for photos of travel

Ancient Mystery | Lost City Found near Khajuraho

Ajaygarh Fort stands alone on a hilltop in the district of Panna and is accessible from Khajuraho. The fort is bordered by beautiful Vindhya Hills and provides absolutely stunning views of the Ken River. This grand fort is noted for its rich historical past and architectural beauty, which speaks volumes about the Chandela dynasty.

There is plenty to explore at the fort, which makes it a treat for history and art lovers. Reminiscent of old times, this fort has two gates (earlier there were five), two temples and two rock-cut tanks, close to the northern gate. These tanks have been named as Ganga and Yamuna.
Other highlights of the fort are an old temple dedicated to the Chandela ruler, Raja Parmardi Deva and three Jain temples that look similar to the Khajuraho Temples.

#FullMooNTv Explorer

Bikaner can be reached by train from Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Agra, Punjab and other major Indian towns. It can also be reached by road from Delhi via Shekhawati or Jaipur. The highways are very good. What's So Unique About Nahargarh Fort in Rajasthan India?

Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defence ring for the city. The fort was originally named Sudershangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means 'abode of tigers'. The popular belief is that Nahar here stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia, whose spirit haunted the place and obstructed construction of the fort. Nahar's spirit was pacified by building a temple in his memory within the fort, which thus became known by his name.

Built mainly in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the king of Jaipur, the fort was constructed as a place of retreat on the summit of the ridge above the city. Walls extended over the surrounding hills, forming fortifications that connected this fort to Jaigarh, the fort above the old capital of Amber. Though the fort never came under attack during the course of its history, it did see some historical events, notably, the treaties with the Maratha forces who warred with Jaipur in the 18th century.[4] During the Indian Mutiny of 1857, the Europeans of the region, including the British Resident's wife, were moved to Nahargarh fort by the king of Jaipur, Sawai Ram Singh, for their protection.
