Just along the coast from Sochi is the Black Sea resort town of Adler, home to the Olympic Park (host of the 2014 Winter Olympics), some inviting beaches and a glorious orthodox cathedral. Oh, and a police station which we had to visit.

City in Russia
Sochi, a Russian city on the Black Sea, is known as a summer beach resort and was the host of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Its parks include the palm-filled Arboretum. It's also notable for 20th-century neoclassical buildings such as the columned Winter Theatre.
Forested Sochi National Park is a 1,937-sq.-km protected area in the nearby Caucasus Mountains. Some 70 km inland, Krasnaya Polyana is a prominent ski resort.

Definitely a MUST VISIT place in Russia!
Where is Sochi - the city is situated along the Black Sea in Southern Russia, near the border with Abkhazia/Georgia. Sochi is Russia’s only subtropical resort city located in Krasnodar krai, 1,620 km south of Moscow (around 2,5 hours flight from Moscow). Sochi is informally referred to as the summer, the southern and resort “capital” of Russia.
Winter Olympic games of 2014 were held in Sochi. We will visit the Olympic Park that was constructed for the 2014 Winter Olympics and 2014 Winter Paralympics. Located in the Adlersky City District of Sochi.
And go to the mountains in Rosa Khutor - a unique all-the-year-round mountain-climatic resort of world class with cable ways and different entertainments.
...and we will visit Abkhazia, which is located only 2,5km from Sochi! :)

???? A pleasant walk with my DJI Osmo cam in the beautiful town of Adler. Warm weather almost like summer. A wonderful day for a walk in Russia. In April it is quiet and comfortable here. The streets are clean and cozy, full of flowers and green trees????. Now the off-season is in the region and few tourists walk even in the center of Adler.
❗ Adler is a resort on the Black Sea coast located in the mouth of the Mzymta River. It used to be a town but is now a microdistrict within Adlersky City District of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Adler is one of the most popular Russian resorts.????️ It has a pebbly and narrow beach, backed by the railway in some places. There are Russian Orthodox churches of the Trinity and the Holy Spirit, as well as the Armenian Saint Sarkis Cathedral.
