Hagla is a small seasonal lake which gets formed after rain in the region. Surrounded by beautiful red sand dunes, lake is first choice of Al Kharj and Ad Dilam residents to enjoy chilled weekends of December and January. Asphalt road is constructed in the middle of the deserts up to the lake which makes it accessible by normal sedan cars as well. Sunset and farms views from the western sides of sand dunes are mesmerizing.

1st Spot:
A roadside picnic spot on the way to Ad Dilam from Riyadh surrounded by palm trees. There are many BBQ points where families can enjoy delicious BBQ while beating the heat of central arabia at this location

2nd Spot:
Located along the route 5060 farmers grow local vegetables in this farm which are then sold to local markets

3rd Spot:
Located also along the route 5060 farmers mainly grow local herbs in this farm which are then sold to local markets to feed the animals in cattle farms.

4th Spot:
Located also in Ad Dilam region, this is one of the biggest farms famous for breeding Tilapia Fish in the central region of Saudi Arabia. The life cycle of fish production can be very easily observed in the farm. There are several tanks in the farm to store different sizes of fishes. Water is circulated through the motors in each tank which is required for the freshwater fish production but at the same time causes sediments to float causing very low visibility for underwater photography. Fish food is placed at several locations across the farm from where visitors can feed the fishes that too FREE. There are many other farms near this fish farm where dates, local herbs, vegetables and cattle foods are produced. The most amazing thing is the FREE entrance to all these farms.

Al kharj most visit place

Ayun Seeh

Ayun See or the eyes of Seeh are two long deep holes that are nearly 500 meters away from each other. Ayun See is a trademark of Kharj so tourists love to visit this place. It is reported that these two holes were formed by meteor showers thousands of years ago and later were filled with water.
For many years, the water within these wells was used for irrigation purposes but now they are completely dried and empty. ( check google map before going . May be closed for maintenance )

2) AlKharj Zoo

Although Al Kharj Park Zoo is a small 200, still you can get to see wild animals like Lion, tigers, Leopard, bears, monkeys, and some birds like eagles, vultures, ducks, and Flamingo, etc.
