Abidjan est la capitale économique de la Côte d’Ivoire et l’une des villes francophones les plus peuplées d’Afrique. Selon le recensement de 2014, la population d’Abidjan s’élevait à 4,7 millions d’habitants, soit 20 % de la population totale du pays, ce qui la place au sixième rang en Afrique derrière le Caire, Lagos, Dar es Salaam, Kinshasa et Johannesburg. Abidjan, carrefour culturel de l’Afrique de l’Ouest, a un haut niveau d’industrialisation et d’urbanisation. Abidjan étant également la plus grande ville du pays et le centre de son activité économique, elle a été officiellement désignée comme capitale économique du pays. Le district autonome d’Abidjan, qui englobe la ville et certaines de ses banlieues, est l’un des 14 districts de la Côte d’Ivoire.
Abidjan est restée la capitale de la Côte d’Ivoire après avoir gagné son indépendance de la France en 1960. En 1983, la ville de Yamoussoukro a été désignée comme capitale politique officielle de la Côte d’Ivoire bien que l’ancienne capitale Abidjan ait conservé plusieurs fonctions politiques. Avant 2011, le district actuel de Yamoussoukro faisait partie de la région des Lacs. Le district a été créé en 2011 et est divisé en départements d’Attiégouakro et de Yamoussoukro.
« La langue traditionnelle de la ville d’Abidjan serait l’Ebrié. Depuis l’indépendance, la langue officielle à Abidjan et dans toute la Côte d’Ivoire est le français. Bien que la langue officielle soit une variété formelle de français standard semblable à celle de Paris, le français le plus couramment parlé dans cette ville est un dialecte familier connu sous le nom de français de Treichville ou français de Moussa qui est différent du français standard dans la prononciation et dans une partie de son vocabulaire. Une autre forme de français parlé à Abidjan est Nouchi, une variété très informelle utilisée comme argot adolescent. La lingua franca historique, encore parlée et comprise par la plupart de la population commerçante d’Abidjan, est Dioula. La ville accueille de nombreux Ivoiriens de tout le pays et une soixantaine de langues vernaculaires sont parlées, comme Baoulé, Wobé, Bété et Attié. Abidjan est entourée de plus de trente villages où l’on parle encore couramment le baoulé et l’ébrié. »
La nourriture ivoirienne est piquante et épicée avec un grand nombre de piments. Essayez- donc les plats suivants;
a) Attieke - Manioc fermenté
Le manioc est un aliment de base en Côte d’Ivoire. Attieke est un aliment attrayant avec le manioc fermenté comme ingrédient principal. Il a une saveur douce et est un natif de la tribu Nzema au Ghana, amené en Côte d’Ivoire et dans de nombreux autres pays d’Afrique. Les Ivoiriens le consomment souvent avec de la viande braisée, du poisson, du couscous ou de la banane plantain. Ce plat présente de nombreuses variantes.
L’aliment Attieke de haute qualité est appelé Abgodjiama. L’Attieke Petit Grain est une version bon marché et est souvent vendu sur les marchés. Garba Attieke est plus abordable que l’Attieke traditionnel et ce type est généralement utilisé pour la consommation de Garba.Vous pouvez
également essayer de manger l’Attieke avec du poisson.
b) Soupe de pêcheur
Ce plat a des racines en Hongrie et était une invention des pêcheurs hongrois. Ils ont fait la première soupe sur un feu ouvert le long des rivières dans ce pays. Aujourd’hui, il apparaît à travers l’Europe,
l’Afrique de l’Ouest, et d’autres continents. Au début, les pêcheurs utilisaient des bouilloires pour cuisiner cette délicieuse nourriture.
CAVA (Centre artisanal de La Ville d’Abidjan) est situé au milieu d’Abidjan. C’est pourquoi elles ont beaucoup de choses en commun telles que des batiks, des toiles de Korhogo, des pagnes, des statues de bronze, des bijoux, des peintures et plus encore. Retrouvez également de superbes pièces du Ghana, du Mali ou du Nigeria. Chaque vendeur a sa
spécialité. Vous pouvez également observer certains artisans à l’œuvre. L’endroit est certainement très agréable, mais visitez-le avec du temps et de la patience parce que vous serez constamment arrêté par les fournisseurs pour « jeter un coup d’œil ». Inutile de dire que la négociation sur le prix est un must!

ABIDJAN, COTE D’IVOIRE - Welcome to the beautiful country of Côte d’Ivoire (also known as Ivory Coast), in the heart of West Africa. Abidjan is the biggest city, and home to some incredibly tasty street bbq - including a unique vertical bbq and some of Africa’s fastest BBQ! Today we’re going on a full Ivorian street food tour!
A huge thank you to my friend Mo Soumahoro from Belle Côte d’Ivoire ( for arranging my trip and setting up everything!
1. Breakfast - we started early in the morning and headed for a rare dish of steamed corn with thick sour milk porridge. It was unique and very hearty in the morning.
2. Plakali - One of the most beloved Ivorian foods is plakali, a thick stew of crabs and seafood with cow skin and okra. It’s a dish with so many components and texture and absolutely incredible.
3. Fried snacks - When you’re in Côte d’Ivoire you don’t want to miss all the delicious fried snack you’ll find all over Abidjan. It was awesome to hang out with Yasmine Fofana (
4. Pique chicken and fish and Ivorian choukouya - From this entire Abidjan street food tour, probably my favorite dish was the pique chicken and fish and the West African choukouya. The chicken and fish were skewered then marinated in spices and pepper then grilled in a sandbox - vertical bbq style. It kept the meat juicy and full of flavor. They also made delicious choukouya, where the chicken is first grilled, chopped, and mixed with onions and seasoning. It’s absolutely amazing.
5. Market + sandwich - Next up we continued on this West African street food tour at the market to see some local ingredients, and a tasty onion and egg sandwich.
6. Brochette and bread - Another classic Abidjan street food is grilled small skewers of meat stuffed into French bread with kankankan. It’s one of the fastest grilling techniques I’ve seen, and unbelievably tasty.
7, Grilled meat ending - Finally we had one more stop to eat more grilled meat, choukouya. Can’t get enough!

Grand-Bassam, la capitale de l'Abissa fut la première capitale de la Côte d'Ivoire (1893-1900) et jusqu'à présent, elle demeure une ville chère au cœur des ivoiriens. En plus de renfermer bon nombre d'écoles et universités qui ont formé et continuent de former des cadres de grandes qualités, elle possède aussi de très belles plages qui reçoivent chaque week-end des milliers de visiteurs qui y vont pour se baigner dans la mer, se ressourcer, prendre de l'air frais, etc... C'est donc cette belle ville que nous conduira notre voyage de ce jour où nous emprunterons l'ancienne route pour nous y rendre. J'espère qu'elle vous apprécierai ce voyage. Cela est vrai que la route précède le développement. J'ai été agréablement surpris du nouveau visage d'ANYAMA après la réalisation des voiries centrales et adjacentes de la cité du Cola. Pour ma première vidéo de cette année, j'ai décidé de vous amener dans la commune d'Abobo précisément à Biabou 2 aussi connu sous le nom de DJIBI Village sur la route d'Alépé, qui est aussi un passage pour ceux qui souhaite se rendre à Aboisso, à Noé donc à la frontière Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana.
Notre parcours débute à la nouvelle gare d'Adjamé Bracodi, en passant l'autoroute Abobo-Adjamé, puis Abobo Samaké, Abobo-Baoulé et Biabou 2.

Bonjour à tous et toutes qui regardez mes vidéos, vous qui me soutenez par vos commentaires constructifs et surtout par vos click sur le bouton J'Aime qui constitue ma rémunération pour l'effort et le temps que je mets à réaliser les vidéos que je mets à votre disposition.
La vidéo que je présente ce jour est le compil de mes voyages professionnels que j'ai eu à réaliser au Bénin. C'est en effet les paysages beaux, les peuples extraordinaires et les différents événements que j'ai observé durant la traversée de ces différents pays qui m'ont inspirés à réaliser ce Vlog qui constituent le résumé de plus de 24 heures de route de Cotonou (République du Bénin) à Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) en passant par les Républiques du Togo et du Ghana.
J'espère que vous l'adopterai et que cela vous aidera à sauter le pas en effectuant ce genre de voyages dans la sous-région, je vous assure que cela vous marquera positivement comme cela a été le cas pour moi je vous l'avoue. The video that I present today is the compilation of my professional trips that I had to make on the way back from Benin to Côte d'Ivoire. It is indeed the beautiful landscapes, the extraordinary people and the different events that I observed during the crossing of these different countries that inspired me to make this Vlog which constitutes the summary of more than 24 hours of road from Cotonou (Republic of Benin) to Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) via the Republics of Togo and Ghana.
I hope you will adopt it and that it will help you to take the plunge by making this kind of trip in the sub-region, I assure you that it will mark you positively as it was the case for me I admit it to you . Hôtel Radisson Blu: A proximité de l'aéroport FHB, le Radisson Blu Hotel est idéalement situé pour les voyageurs d'affaires ou de loisirs qui se rendent en Côte d'Ivoire.

L’échangeur de Marcory
Point de départ au Sud d'Abidjan pour accéder au pont Henri Konan Bédié (HKB) et entamer l'autoroute du Nord, l'échangeur sur le boulevard GISCARD D'ESTAING, le plus important d'Afrique occidentale, a été réalisé en même temps que le pont Henri Konan BEDIE. Il a été mis en service depuis le 16 décembre 2014, à l'occasion de l'inauguration (échangeur VGE + pont HKB) par le Président de la république, SEM Alassane OUATTARA et par le Président Henri Konan Bédié.
Azalai Hôtel: Situé sur le boulevard Valéry Giscard d’Estaing de Marcory, à 10 minutes de l’aéroport international Félix Houphouët Boigny, découvrez un élégant style africain tout en vous immergeant dans la culture ivoirienne.
SOLIBRA: La Société de limonaderies et brasseries d'Afrique (SOLIBRA) est une société anonyme de droit ivoirien créée en 1955 sous l'appellation « Société de limonaderies et glaces d’Abidjan » (SOLIGLACE) et alors spécialisée dans la fabrication de boissons gazeuses et de glace.
Palais des Sport: Le palais des sports de Treichville est une salle couverte en Côte d'Ivoire d'une capacité de 3 500 places construite en 1978 où se tiennent les compétitions de handball, de boxe et de basket-ball, ainsi que plusieurs autres manifestations sportives (volley-ball, de d'escrime et d'arts martiaux).
Palais de la Culture: Situé à Treichville, sur le front lagunaire et entre les deux ponts (pont Félix-Houphouët-Boigny et pont Général-de-Gaulle), le palais de la Culture Bernard Binlin-Dadié, ou Palais de la Culture de Treichville, est le principal bâtiment culturel d'Abidjan.
Pont FHB: Le pont Félix-Houphouët-Boigny est un pont routier et ferroviaire situé à Abidjan traversant la lagune Ébrié. Son nom rappelle Félix Houphouët-Boigny qui est le premier président de la Côte d'Ivoire.
Hôtel Ivoire: L'hôtel Ivoire, aujourd'hui Sofitel Ivoire, est un gratte-ciel et un complexe hôtelier de luxe situé au bord de la lagune Ébrié à Abidjan en Côte d'Ivoire. Cet établissement mythique construit en 1963 est le premier et unique cinq-étoiles du pays.
Hôtel NOVOTEL: Doté d'une piscine extérieure et d'une salle de réunion, le Novotel Abidjan est situé à 10 minutes en voiture du centre-ville d'Abidjan et à 5 minutes de route du stade Boigny. Une connexion Wi-Fi est disponible gratuitement dans tout l'établissement.
Au Novotel Abidjan tout est source de découverte et de détente : du design sophistiqué au jardin relaxant, en passant par les services modernes, nous vous souhaitons un agréable séjour.
Construit en 1957 puis inauguré le 15 mars 1958 en même temps que le pont FHB, l’actuelle place de la république portait le nom de place LAPALUD du nom du gouverneur Maurice-Pierre Lapalud.
La place de la république est située dans la commune du Plateau, qui est l’une des 10 communes de la ville d’Abidjan. Son emplacement se trouve au point d’intersection du Boulevard de la République et du pont FHB.
Palais présidentiel
Le Palais Présidentiel d'Abidjan, œuvre de l'architecte Pierre Dufau (assisté de Maurice Lafon), fût construit à la demande du Président-Fondateur de la République de Côte d'Ivoire Félix Houphouet-Boigny au moment de l'indépendance du pays et fut inauguré en 1962.
Il est construit dans le quartier du Plateau, avec de nombreuses vues sur la lagune Ébrié, et comporte plusieurs bâtiments : le Palais proprement dit ; la résidence privée du Président et les cabinets ministériels.
Hôtel du District
Construit entre 1954 et 1956 par Henri Chomette, l'Hôtel de Ville d'Abidjan, aujourd'hui Hôtel du District, est en béton bouchardé, ce qui lui donne un aspect massif.
Pour l'anecdote, il est construit selon le fameux nombre d'or, selon des rapports de proportions géométriques utilisés dans les constructions de l'Antiquité.
C'est sur son parvis que Félix Houphouët-Boigny proclama l'indépendance du pays le 7 août 1960.
Le stade FHB
Le Stade Félix-Houphouët-Boigny, surnommé « Le Félicia », est le stade national multifonctionnel (football, rugby, athlétisme) de Côte d'Ivoire, du nom du fondateur de la nation ivoirienne Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
Situé dans la commune du Plateau d'Abidjan non loin de l’assemblée nationale, il a une capacité d'environ 35 000 spectateurs.
Il accueille les matchs de l'Équipe Ivoirienne de football, ainsi que certains matchs du championnat national de football.
