Aarburg is a historic town and a municipality in the district of Zofingen in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland.

The small town lies in southwest Aargau, in a narrow section of the Aare valley, at the confluence with the Wigger. It lies in the intersection of the most important traffic routes of Switzerland. The dominant landmark is the Aarburg Castle, one of Switzerland's largest castles and a heritage site of national significance. The visual character of Aarburg is shaped by the fortification and the church on a rock spur.

The official language of Aarburg is (the Swiss variety of Standard) German, but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect.

Aarburg has an area, as of 2009, of 4.42 square kilometers (1.71 sq mi). Of this area, 0.85 km2 (0.33 sq mi) or 19.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.37 km2 (0.53 sq mi) or 31.0% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 2.02 km2 (0.78 sq mi) or 45.7% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.17 km2 (0.066 sq mi) or 3.8% is either rivers or lakes and 0.01 km2 (2.5 acres) or 0.2% is unproductive land.

Aarburg has a population (as of December 2020) of 8,577. As of June 2009, 39.0% of the population are foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (1997–2007) the population has changed at a rate of 3.8%. Most of the population (as of 2000) speaks German (77.9%), with Italian being the second most common (6.0%) and Serbo-Croatian being third (3.7%).

From the 2000 census, 2,140 or 34.2% were Roman Catholic, while 2,287 or 36.5% belonged to the Swiss Reformed Church. Of the rest of the population, there were 24 Old Catholics (or about 0.38% of the population) belonging to the Christian Catholic Church of Switzerland.

Interlaken Switzerland is a perfect base for exploring the region and its spectacular mountains like #eiger , #mönch & #jungfraujoch and many more..

Interlaken Switzerland is a fantastic base for seeing the best of central Switzerland's magnificent scenery while enjoying the comforts of lakeside resort. Tourist attractions are all around it, with boat tours on Lakes Thun and Brienz at either side of the town and thrilling train and funicular rides to the spectacular surrounding mountain peaks.
Interlaken Switzerland is one of the oldest, best known, and most popular summer holiday resorts in #Switzerland.
Day or night, you'll find plenty of things to do in and around Interlaken. Along with the almost endless variety of walks, climbs, and outdoor excursions, there are many other sports available for active travelers. On the right bank of the Aare, opposite the Kursaal, is a swimming pool, and visitors will find a golf course in Unterseen, as well as sailing and windsurfing on the lakes, paragliding, horseback riding, and tennis.
And here you will find 300 Kg bronze statue of the famous Bollywood movie director Yash Chopra, who is also designated as the Brand ambassador of Interlaken.
