The area where many Maltese people live
this is the area where many maltese people live here in malta. i have been getting a lot of messages to show areas where maltese people live, and this is Zurrieq, a village where predominantly Maltese people live. It is located in the South part of Malta. This area is populated with roughly around 11 000 people predominantly Maltese. This area in Malta has pretty much everything, from shops, barbers, hair stylist, supermarkets, bus connections around the island. as well the famous Blue Grotto is forming part of this village. I recommend this area for people if they want to see where and how maltese people live, i personally enjoyed this little tour in Zurrieq as i get to know how the maltese people act around non maltese people, very friendly! we get to visit the Wied Fulija, a new park that has been build where people can go for a jog near the cliffs enjoying breathtaking views of Malta.

Exploring the beauty of wied Izzurieq . And spending a whole day in such a beautiful and wild place ❤️ .
About 2km west of Żurrieq lies the tiny harbour of Wied iż-Żurrieq, set in a narrow inlet in the cliffs and guarded by a watchtower. Here, boats depart, weather permitting, for enjoyable 30-minute cruises to the Blue Grotto, a huge natural arch in the sea cliffs 400m to the east.

The Blue Grotto is a complex of seven caves found along the southern coast of the island, right across from the little islet of Filfla, and less than a kilometre west of Wied iż-Żurrieq.
Underwater, different colours of red, mauve, green, orange and yellow give an impressive picture to visitors.
The Blue Grotto is a popular destination for tourists to Malta with boat trips visiting the caves running all days of the year, weather permitting.
The place actually got its name in the 1950s, when a British soldier visiting the area and compared it to Capri’s famous Grotta Azzura, which basically means ‘Blue Grotto’, because of its amazing clear, bright blue waters (particularly at a specific time of day – more on that topic later).
This complex comprises a massive (and very impressive) main arch, which is approximately 30m in height, as well as a system of 6 other caves, amongst which you will find the Honeymoon Cave, the Cat’s Cave and the beautiful Reflection Cave.
