Andipatti Kanavai, a heavenly location lies in-between Usilampatti and Andipatti in Madurai - Teni rail route. After 12 years, the first train from Madurai to Teni crossing the famous andipatti kanavai and made a history. It was so awesome experience by travelling on first day run between Madurai and Teni. After 12 long years, the much awaited Madurai - Theni route was inaugurated today after gauge conversion. Honorable Prime Minister Inaugurated the new gauge converted line via video conferencing. First train was flagged off today (26 May 2022)
Among the Rail development projects for the State of Tamil Nadu, Hon’ble Prime Minister inaugurated the newly gauge converted Madurai – Teni (75 Km) section completed at a cost of Rs.506 Crore. The section would Offer a reliable, faster and cheaper mode of transport, especially for agricultural purposes.
